Hey! Why is everyone so upset?? I just saw on the Fox Post Game Recap...The Bills are tied with the Houston Texans, and still alive at 5-7! Woo Go Bills. You have to have faith. Dick J, JP Losman...If anyone can run the tables, and get 100% of the other games to go their way, it's the Buffalo/Toronto Bills!!! GO BILLS!!!

FROM 5-1 to 1-6 Something needs to happen!!!!
murra replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McNabb is not the answer. I watched that game today, and he can't even dink and dunk. He's a slightly stronger JP Losman with slightly better pocket presence. Their win against the Giants was purely a great ground attack and superior defense. -
Ok.

Biggest difference between Miami & Buffalo
murra replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know. I'm not sold on Miami. If we had half the offense as some of the other teams in this league we would have killed them twice this season. The only difference is that they don't have a sh*tty offensive coordinator, and a horrible quarterback at the helm. -
"7) Every Buffalo Bills Fan should be proud of Josh Reed. " Unbelievable, yet true. Buffalo has so little to be proud of. Josh Reed is one of the few players on our team with enough balls to be a winner on another team.

Perhaps the worst part about our consistent mediocrity, is that while we stay unimproved, we consistently manage draft picks in the 11-16 range...not quite elite enough to guarantee an immediate improvement.
-
Geographical allegiance is pretty much how sports works. What you're suggesting (us not watch and/or go to the games) would result in the Bills not being in Buffalo.

Wow.

Let's make this the unofficial Bills Gameday thread, and start one at 4:09.

What? How are you turning this against me? Dude, you're on an online message board ripping on a fellow fan for having faith in his team. Good joke by the way. I laughed.
-
No. I'm just making the point that it's silly to say JP twist at this point, because Edwards is playing worse than JP ever did. I'm not looking into it as far as you think. I actually thought your absurdly pessimistic connection to a completely unrelated game was comical, but I was just annoyed by the JP twist. Sorry, I just think that the interception joke is much more sided with Edwards at this point. Maybe if you said with a "Bills quarterback" twist. It's just silly to continually make fun of JP at this point, he's playing his last game as a Bill and you'll never have to see him again.
-
What's wrong with you? Were you dropped on the head as a kid? What makes people like you spawn? He didn't say he was overly optimistic, just trying to motivate himself for the game. Do you actually think better about yourself for trying to sh*t on people?
-
Crap. I forgot that Trent Edwards is perfect this season, and has yet to choke on the big stage with multiple interceptions like JP has done. Wait....a....second....

Where was the Losman twist?

I'm not quite sure I've read a post from anyone else on this website who so fully understood what the Bills mean to Buffalo. We have nothing anymore. It is about that pilgrimage, and for some reason I see people posting about how they want the team to go. Excellent post, and may this be a reminder to the NFL that if you guys can put such horrible players on the field, and we continue to sell out, that playing a home game in toronto is insulting to an entire culture. It's not genocide, or ethnic cleansing, but taking the Bills away from Buffalo has some parallels to historical devastating moments.

I think it's hilarious.

The solution to the Bills' problems.

I agree with most of what you said...but didn't two time superbowl winner John Elway suffer from pulling his groin often? -
These players don't care if they win or lose
murra replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe some cocky Wide Recievers make that appear evident... ...but that I can assure you is not true of almost all athletes. The thing is, they're all winners. That's why they're playing professional sports. If you don't have a winning attitude, or try all the time, you don't get to play the sport you love. I think Joe D. is alluding to the fact that players in his time did not have the distraction of money that players do now, and so it hinders their priorities, but I'm sure even he can agree that 99% of the players made it to where they are out of the sheer love of the game. -

Wait, wait wait wait wait a minute. Bare with me here as I go through your logic, I'm very confused...maybe you can make it make more sense... He's f*cking clueless...because (and here is where I get lost I think)... our quarterback (I'm going to have to assume you're referring to Edwards here, unless you know about the franchise's future intentions through an inside source) was an mvp candidate in weeks 1-4, who is comparable to Brady and Manning... ... ... ...I want to believe you, I do. It's just that...well you see, while Trent may have looked average to slightly above average for roughly four weeks... but (and this might be where I tend to disagree with...everything you say) He literally displayed some of the worst quarterbacking I've ever seen in my entire life for the next 8. I'm not agreeing with the guy who thinks our answer is a quarterback...but help me out here...you think that our quarterback is as good as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning? Of course, the other guy is f*cking clueless...of course, I forgot about that. -
Probably the biggest difference, and reaason that makes that story completely irrelevant: The saving grace for the Pats was Kraft owning the rights to the stadium. The major difference is that Ralph-o owns the stadium. Unless Ralph has some fight-club esque multi-person transfiguration, what your suggesting is impossible. Ultimately by you're logic we're doomed because the only way we can keep the team is if Ralph buys the team from...himself.

I hate to say it but I think that a boycot might be in order.
murra replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know how unaware you are...but the buffalo fans are some of the worst reactionary fans in the history of sports. It takes one great game to be crowned as a perennial legend, or three bad ones to be marked down as a clown. The fans, and our pathetic excuse for a sports media, have been nothing but a$$hats, constantly demanding the head of our coaches. Look at donahoe. I think a week or two before that sunday night game at home against the broncos, we already knew he was going to be gone because the fans and media were talking about it like it was a done deal. I think the office has been very receptive to fan reaction. We get a new coach every 3 years and fail to let them develop because we drag out all the flaws in them for months on end. You'd think Dick Jauron doesn't know that there are 100 yards on the football field the way we have completely torn apart his persona. I've been guilty this past week of being critical, even suggesting that we could have a complete overhaul of the front office, but the reality is that I think a boycott/strike or absurd fan reaction to an 8-8 team is the very reason we're the worst fans of all-time. I hate Jauron right now. He's making decisions I don't agree with, but it's silly to boycott a .500 or possibly above .500 team. The reactions in this thread indicate how hungry we are for the playoffs. So hungry in fact, that we keep forcing ourselves back to rebuilding mode, rather than let the team work itself out. I called for the heads of both young QB's...I realize now that was idiotic. JP never got a fair chance (mostly because fans go nuts over sacks and Mularky wanted to keep his job). I've said things about Edwards, that I see a lot of downside, but truth be told, if he comes back next year not scared, and we have the same team, we have the same year, without that 4 game rut, and come out looking like a real playoff team. I will not start a boycott, and I think those who do are choosing the immature route to accepting failure to reaching the playoffs. Once the Bills fans start putting expectations a little lower, maybe then they'll start to see the pluses to coaches and the organization, and hopefully they will let some people grow and develop. The bills need this desperately, but certainly I can't expect that of you fans, because we'll just grumble for more changes in coaches and players, and never let them work it out. -

I don't want to sound like a dick here, but dude...you can't honestly believe the "curse" began AFTER 4 superbowl losses and a homerun throwback. Not to mention Skate in the crease, No goal, 7 injured defensemen and tim connolly... Buffalo is cursed...and it might be so long ago, that mark twian knew about it. If you're going to be superstitious, please try and understadn that a stupid HB pass in like 2003 did not cause it.

That's such an overly pessimistic view on our franchise. You're giving all other teams way too much credit.

Do you have any confidence in J.P. Losman?
murra replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People who are trying to debate that Edwards, in his first full season, is better than Losman in his first full season, are calling me an idiot. That's beyond hilarious.
