  1. I agree with alot of what you said, Edwards is better than Losman and so much better than Fitzpatrick that it isn't even comparable. He probably isn't the answer, but if Gailey is the Magic Man with QBs like alot of people on this board claim he is, anything is possible I suppose. You are though, being your first post, setting yourself up in front of a firing squad, as people like to criticize other people's opinions on here with reckless stupidity. There is a very good chance, probably at least 50-50 that TE is going to get another chance, and if he does succeed with Gailey's help, 99.8% of the people on this board that slam Edwards, want him out of town and say he sucks, will forget they ever said any of that stuff and will act like life long fans of his. Alot of predictable people on this forum.
  2. Not sure there is even any argument there? Who else would there be since 1980? Mathison, Collins, Hobert, Holcomb, Losman, Van Pelt? The only QBs that have been in Buffalo in the last 30 years that even come close were all on the visiting teams.
  3. You can't be serious, are you? Am I being Punked?
  4. How do you know how much heart someone has? Are you one of his coaches? I guarantee you he has more heart than you have brains, by a country mile at that.
  5. Don't forget he can beat up teammates in training camp and get his yearly suspension.
  6. The Bills would have made Jerry Rice in his prime #2 to T.O., because they were afraid he would blow up. On a good team with a good quarterback, Evans is a top 10 NFL receiver. If you can't see that you should be watching Badminton or Checkers, because football is clearly to complicated for you.
  7. Not by any measure. You want to know what to do with our $9 million dollar a year WR? Get a damn quarterback that can throw him the ball, get an offensive line that can block for that quarterback and put a decent receiver on the other side (at present we have nobody now that we know that Owens and Reed won't be back), and you will see Evans playing in February in Hawaii. You people that put Evan's low numbers all on him are so clueless when it comes to football, you need to buy the book "Football for Dummies."
  8. He also sat down and talked to Clausen, maybe the winds will finally blow right for us and Clausen will still be there at #9.
  9. You can tell all that from someone standing at a podium? You really need to work in the Bills front office, they need someone with abilities like that. Wow, that is talent.
  10. Let's hope that if either one of those two are available, the Bills don't continue on their tradition of stupidity and pass on them this year. If there is any common sense in the new and (hopefully) improved FO, they take one if they are still there at #9.
  11. If you are wasting your time reading mock drafts that have Claussen still available in the 2nd round, you are wasting your time reading mock drafts written by someone with not a single clue in the world. Unless he has some type of injury in the next 7 weeks, he will most likely be gone before the Bills draft, probably to Washington. At the very least, he is gone before the first half of the first round is done, guaranteed.
  12. You are wrong there, he did at time display pathetic effort. If a ball is interecepted right in front of you, you as a receiver have the responsibility to try to tackle the defender with the ball, not throw your hands up in the air and moan because it was a bad pass. Everyone knows we didn't have very good QBs last season, but any QB throws passes that aren't right in the numbers all the time, and in those instances, it is the receivers job to still make a professional effort to try to catch it, T.O. often didn't put forth that effort. If anything was ingrained in peoples minds before he got here it was that he was going to blow up, which to his credit he didn't. T.O. has always been known for two things negaitves, running his mouth and dropping way too many balls, he only did one of those things his one and only year for the Bills.
  13. They have so many holes to fill, that if they aren't super active in Free Agency they won't even be competitive this year, and with the uncapped year, there aren't as many options out there in FA as there normally would be. I still say, you can't win without a QB, and there is nothing out there to build on in FA at the QB slot. If Clausen (hopefully) or Bradford (would be good) are available at #9 they have to take them. Those who are clamoring for Thigpen, Pennington or any of the other mediocre at best QBs that might be available, apparently are content with a 7-9 team at best.
  14. I agree without Owens on the roster, Reed was the second best receiver we have. They have to sign at least one veteran receiver.
  15. Don't kid yourself, Gailey would have went anywhere that offered him a job, it is just that we are the only organization who offered.
  16. It isnt much warmer in DC either. The weather had nothing to do with it, he just didn't want to say that he didn't want to go to an unstable, poorly run organization with a clueless owner and front office. He used the Bills just like free agent players do, visit here to raise their price with no intent of ever coming here.
  17. They have meds? they just gave me some hand lotion.
  18. Three words-You're an ass!
  19. Isn't that Spanish or something for "The Angles?"
  20. They tried to get half a dozen QBs last year before settling back with Jason Campbell. If he is so great, why have they spent two years trying to replace him? Three words: Jason Campbell Sucks!
  21. Seems to me the only year the Skins made the playoffs in recent memory, Todd Collins played at least the second half of the season and turned the team around, and outplayed Campbell by a country mile.. Why didn't Campbell play? Did he have a school play to be in or what? He was injured, it can happen to anyone in football it is a contact sport.
  22. If I am not mistaken, there isn't much he could do in Buffalo relating to the Bills, he isn't a free agent, it would be tampering by the Bills and probably cost them a draft pick. Unless the Eagles have authorized him to arrange a trade, but that is doubtful, since he said he doesn't want to leave Philly and Andy Reid says he is staying. Maybe he is close to his neice, he wouldn't be the first cool uncle, I happen to think I am one too.
  23. Actually I am not a Edwards lover, but he is just as good as Campbell, and sadly so far in their careers they have both sucked for the most part. I live down here in Virginia in Redskins Country and even the majority of Skins fans think he is terrible, we have had enough projects, and waited enough years for a QB to develop and he never does, would be more of the same with Campbell. They can keep him.
  24. Along with Greer, Hargrove and Antowain Smith I can think of the following (Sammy Morris never won a Superbowl-I believe his first year on the Pats they went undefeated and lost the Superbowl). Ted Washington (Pats) Bob Chandler (Raiders) Don Beebe (Packers) Rob Johnson (Bucs)-OUCH! that one hurts Sam Gash (Ravens) Marlin Briscoe (Dolphins)
  25. I wouldn't trade an old pair of underwear for Jason Campbell. The whole idea of making a trade is to improve your ballclub. Bringing in Jason Campbell is in no way, shape or form, improving anything.
