I don't understand the frustration, with not signing FA's: Let's see-A team that is probably in the bottom 5 teams in the NFL in talent, doing nothing to get better=Frustration!

You are close too, but it is actually these things that most fans want: 1. Hire a PROVEN WINNER as a head coach, not someone who comes cheap. 2. Hire a GM who has been a GM, and has a track record of success as a GM, not as someone's assistant-assistants don't make decisions-they assist! 3. Sign a few free agents who are quality players, not necessarily the big time money players, but not below average players with history of injury, not only on the down side of their careers but almost to the bottom of that side of the hill, maybe a little history of experiencing winning would help too. In other words, don't base your free agent signings on who is the cheapest-go for quality once in awhile. Don't make one move a year, for the sole reason of selling tickets (see T.O. last season). 4. Show some respect to the owner when some respect for something he has done in the last 20 years warrants it. When he shows some respect to the fans who put their hard earned money into tickets, memorabilia, jerseys, etc. by trying to put a winner on the field and not more cash in his wallet, then in turn show respect back to him. Show some respect to him when he quits assuming that Bills fans are stupid and will continue to fill the stadium for a terrible product. 5. Bottom line is, for over a decade, tons of Bills (including myself) have went into training camp with optimism that this is the year it will turn around. This is the year that the team puts it together for Ralph, he deserves it. Well, after this long, now it is time for Ralphy and the boys to give us a reason to be optimistic after years and years of false hope. When they show me that things are turned around for real, and not just because they hired a new coach and GM, how many times over the past decade or more have they done that, with no changes in result, my optimism will return. I will always be a die hard Bills fan, but that doesn't mean I can't live in the real world, and not be a sucker for every little, and I mean little, move Ralph makes.

Maybe we can trade our first round pick for Curtis Painter of the Colts? (More sarcasm intended!)

Do you earn a living as a comedian? If not you might look into it. What even makes anyone think of him? Did they get unlucky opening a pack of football cards and get one of him?

Just based on the outstanding season he had a few years back and went to the Pro Bowl will get him another shot, without a doubt. The only doubt is what he will be able to do with that shot.

It is so disappointing that the Bills are doing nothing, but with regards to Whitehurst, they need to sit on their hands. He is nothing in the NFL.

If what you posted is what was said at NFL Network, why is this post even in existence? There is nothing in what you have said that anyone with even a trickle of common sense or football knowledge can even attempt to argue. Those things are true and it isn't even close.

Deal him? From what I hear they are going to probably cut him, he has been terrible. Why would you want him?

Either the new front office is more incompetent than the last FO, or Cornell Green is the only person they could get to come to Buffalo. Below is a quote from Rotoworld: "While Buffalo is undoubtedly desperate for tackle help, the signing is curious. Green received no known interest elsewhere, turns 34 before the season, and has played a full 16-game schedule just once in his 10-year career. The Raiders were also always trying to replace Green, which isn't a good sign." It seems that they won't even give the time of day to players that could really help this team fill their many, many holes, than they over pay for subpar, over the hill players that not a single other team in the NFL has any interest for. For anyone wondering why the Bills have sucked for a decade, signings like this are a big part of the answer.

Also when the CAP comes back, there will once again be a basement/minimum salary required. Those teams that fell drastically below that (the Bills) will have to spend money in ways that aren't necessarily a good thing in order to meet the minimum salary level. Just to meet the minimum they will have to overpay when they could have gotten quality this year.

Amen. There are things that can be blamed on race, but alot of instances it is brought into a subject to cover up failure and to have somewhere to place blame besides what is in the mirror.

After a decade of disaster, ONE good year would be a major improvement and a pleasant change. You talk about patience, Bills fans might be the most patient in the league, a decade of sucking, bad ownership, cheap ownership and the stadium still gets filled up on sundays, that is patience.

Let's see? They have been awful for the better part of the past decade, have done nothing to improve other than signing a coach that nobody else in the NFL would have hired. They did pick up Kelsay's bonus, there is a start (sarcasm intended). Their #1 and #3 receivers from last year are gone and not replaced. The team isn't even looking at free agents. There is no salary cap which means that there is no minium that Ralph has to spend-he is loving that. We had the worst offensive line in the NFL last year and probably our best lineman might never play again (bad enough that a rookie IS your best OL). Along with the Raiders, we have the most disfunctional team/owner in the NFL. Sorry if it pisses you off, but then do all facts piss you off? These are just a few reasons to assume that the Bills will continue to be awful to watch/horrible. This isn't a reality TV show, it is real life in the NFL, so get used to it or continue to live in your dream world.
