  1. Father Murphy. What a great guy. I got the chance to meet him two years in a row in Canton (01 & 02) when I went down for Levy's and Kelly's inductions. He always spent time with fans signing autographs and talking. Bet there is a lot of flowers from FTD at his funeral. RIP
  2. Of course the Bills don't have any interest. They only bring in future Hall of Famers like Fitzdipshit and give him millions. No way would they bring in someone that might actually develop into a quality NFL quarterback, they have a reputation to protect. Our front office is a bunch of dipshits.
  3. Exactly. I am surprised that people don't scream racism when a Scratch-Off lottery ticket isn't a winner.
  4. I am sure several have, but probably even more have been falsely accused because of the common knowledge of their large bank accounts.
  5. From reading your post, I would have to wonder if you are one of "Those Racists out there" you speak of.
  6. If the Bills wait around until they cut him, it will be just another opportunity to improve that they screwed up on. There is no chance they cut him, several teams would give up a low pick for him, especially in a year where the quarterbacks are so questionable coming out of college.
  7. Everything about your post is Exactly Spot-On! Anyone who would disagree with you even in the slightest bit, knows absolutely nothing about football and should be barred from civilization.
  8. Just so you know, he never sniffed the job when he came back, so yes he did lose it to Flacco.
  9. Get used to it, Ralph doesn't give a Rat's Ass if they win or not, as long as the profit gets bigger.
  10. Are you on crack? Seriously? Troy Smith (WTF?) Brohm #2 (WTF?), Trade for Thigpen (seriously?) Common sense says you wouldn't want Troy Smith anyway, but give up a #3 to boot?
  11. Five years ago it would have been fun to watch LT, but if you saw him in the Playoffs, he is a shadow of his former self. He doesn't have much left.
  12. Good for him. I talked to him a few times, maybe the nicest player I ever talked to at training camp. He deserves to excel, but he isn't NFL material.
  13. Are you new to watching football?
  14. Talent and a strong arm.
  15. Cleveland Indians are there for spring training aren't they? Hey it is something that Cleveland has to do with Florida, trading Whitner to the Browns sure doesn't.
  16. He looked pretty good against us. But then again............
  17. Word is he probably could be had for a low round pick. I think it would be worth the gamble, what are you going to get with a 5 or 6 anyway that you couldn't gamble with the chance to get your franchise quarterback. Seems like a smart move to me, which means they probably won't do it.
  18. 50 degrees? He would do pretty good in the preseason then. And we all know what happens then, alot of people on TBD scream for him to start after doing good against 3rd stringers in the preseason (Fitz, Hamden, etc.)
  19. I never said anything about spending a ton, I just said you can't build solely through the draft. So you went from "only" way to build a team to "The Best" way to spend a team. Keep changing your words (and mine) to defend your obviously incorrect post. The last time I checked, the Patriots do use free agency, year after year. Just because they don't sign the big names, doesn't mean they don't utilize free agency. I have better things to do than search online to prove myself, but from my memory here are just a few to prove your point wrong: Patriots: Mike Vrabel, Antowain Smith, Larry Izzo, Larry Centers, Sammy Morris, Junior Seau, David Patten Colts: Jeff Saturday, Adam Vinatieri, Brandon Stokely, Ricky Proehl Eagles: Jevon Kearse, Asante Samuel, Troy Vincent, Jon Runyan, T.O. Your right, those 3 teams never use free agency to get better. What was I thinking?
  20. I stand corrected. F-Him!
  21. Jim was a great quarterback, great leader, great winner and my all-time favorite player, but he isn't a GM for a reason. Ralphy doesn't need to worry about satisfying Jimbo, he needs to worry about the fans, the ones that put money in his already fat and getting fatter wallet. Although, now that I think about it, he might be as qualified as the people Ralph hired in the FO.
  22. What have we done to get better that has you so giddy and excited for 2010?
  23. What do all the following players have in common: Drew Brees Lance Moore Mike Bell Pierre Thomas Pierson Preleau Jabari Greer Darren Sharper Heath Evans Jonathan Vilma Anthony Hargrove Jeremy Shockey Answer: They are just some of the players who started for the New Orleans Saints in 2009 and will be getting Super Bowl rings in a few months, yet weren't drafted by the Saints. You're right, you can only build a winner through the draft, free agency/trades are useless.
  24. The problem with patience with this team is, there are just about the same amount of holes that there are every year, and it doesn't seem like they are making any progress filling them. There is no indication with the new FO and coaching staff that this year won't be even worse than last season. You need good drafts, no-you need great drafts to pull a team out of as deep of a hole as they have dug this franchise into, but you can't do it entirely through the draft. If you only use the draft when your team is as bad as the Bills are, by the time the players you draft develop they are ready to leave via free agency (see Nate Clements, Winfield, etc.), or you make no attempt to resign them (see Pat Williams, JimLLeonard) and you are just spinning your wheels. In order to win in today's NFL, you have to complement the draft with experience and proven talent that comes with free agency, and the Bills aren't doing that, which is why things won't change anytime soon at OBD. You say Bills fans have to have realistic expections, but then you say they can compete by 2012-kind of contradicting, because if the methods stay the say at OBD, we won't be any better in 2012 then we are now.
  25. Could be and seeing how they have sucked for the past decade, who would notice?
