  1. Not sure if we will get stomped or not, but I am sure it will be a total team effort to sink another game in this dismal season. Can't wait for 2009 opening day!
  2. Might be one of the most criticized picks in recent memory and probably even cost him his job. Boy is hindsight 20/20-he sure got the last laugh on that one. I too, would like to see him come to Buffalo as GM.
  3. I always liked Coy Wire, met him a few times and he was an awesome person. We really miss him on special teams and he played admirable at LB especially for his size. Players like him are the exception that you still route for them when they go to another team, especially when he probably wanted to stay but they team didn't want him.
  4. The players have one third of the Pro Bowl vote, and I was wondering if they voted for Peters to give him some more ammunition after the season for his fight for a new contract, the fight he lost this past season? Just a thought, although not as strong as the MLB union, they do stick together. After all if they would actually defend Plaxico Burress or Pacman, why wouldn't they try to get Peters the raise he wants?
  5. You need to watch the games over again, even the Jets game where he dropped a sure first down right in his hands. I really like Lynch and think he can be great, but one thing they said about him coming out of college was his great hands. He hasn't shown that yet in the NFL, he drops at least one every game.
  6. I am not saying he deserved to go, but I would have rather seen Langston Walker go than Jason Peters. He played left tackle, Peters' position all of camp, all of preseason and game one of the regular season. For the first 2 or 3 games Peters did play, he had to sit out every other or every third series and Walker had to jump from right tackle to left tackle so Peters could catch his out of shape breath. I haven't missed a snap on tv this season and I can't recall off the top of my head where Walker was singled out for a penalty, beaten on a critical qb sack or in the wrong place. Peters name came up all season for these infractions. I am sure he did get called for a penalty, but I dont remember Walkers name being called.
  7. I guess I am old enough to remember the early 90's and the success and maybe got a little too used to it. It is kinda like that first time with a gorgeous woman, you expect every time to be like that but it never is.
  8. I sometimes wonder if we really have one now?
  9. I agree, I am on my 6th or 7th year of the Sunday Ticket, just to watch my hometown Bills since I haven't had much time to see them in person after 20 years in the military, and having been in Virginia for 15 years now. I don't know how much $$ I have spent to watch the Bills on DirectTV (which I only switched to to get the Sunday Ticket), and the closest we came to having any success was losing to the Steelers 3rd stringers and missing an opportunity at the Playoffs. I used watch more games after the Bills game was over, now I get so frustrated that I cant even watch anymore football on sundays after watching them blow game after game. For over a decade I have made the trip up to Rochester every August to attend 3 or 4 practices at St. John Fisher (and Fredonia prior to that). I feel like I am done with it all after this year, Sunday Ticket, training camp, putting flags and signs out front on sundays, never leaving the house without some type of Bills gear on, just done with it. But you know what, after a boring winter and spring, I will be right back there next year, just like the majority of people on this board that say they are done, because it is in our blood. All I know is the Bills can take some credit for my high blood pressure, diabetes, balding and what is there is almost all gray. Thanks Ralph.
  10. I agree there is some good young talent on this team, but Pro Bowlers? Maybe Evans, Stroud, Lynch and Whitner have the potential in the near future. The others haven't come close yet-although anything is possible. If they ever signed Winslow, I might boycott them, who wants a trouble maker disrupting the clubhouse and taking shots at teammates and coaches. That would be a major mistake to bring him in, which is why they won't, same as Shockey last year.
  11. He has had enough rest, he has played in almost 3 games. As long as fully healthy, he needs to take his lumps and prove to his teammates and fans that he is the man for next year.
  12. If he is healthy, we need to see what Trent Edwards can do in a hostile environment (Denver-and for that matter the last game at the Ralph). Maybe he can inject a little optimism going into the off season. It is obvious JP is gone, Hamden will never be much more than a #3 (his is this generations Gale Gilbert). They have to go into next season at the very least with Edwards competing for the job with another veteran, if not his job going into camp. If he can play and doesn't it just drags too many more questions than there already are into next season.
  13. Wouldn't mind seeing Haslett, Billick or maybe even Mariuchi interviewed. Having Cowher in is just a pipe dream, he wants too much money for Ralph to even consider him. We need someone who has won, not someone who has 1 winning season in 6 or 7 seasons coaching. No one here knows what it takes to win, no matter how much talent is here. Don't think he would ever come in and work for Ralph again, but I imagine Wade Phillips will be available and is an outstanding DC-just don't make him HC again.
  14. You can't blame that debacle in the Meadowlands or any other embarrasing loss this season to one player. Yeah, maybe Peters missed a block, but Losman has to expect to get hit once in awhile, yet he fumbles every time he is hit from behind. Losman threw at least a half a dozen passes to open receivers that were too high to catch, and at least one, the one to Josh Reed was picked. You can blame the coaches and the play calling. You can blame Lynch, he dropped a sure first down that hit him right in the hands. You can blame the entire defense, I don't rememer a single play where Favre didn't have all day. I can't remember a single play where we had any pressure on him. I could go on and on, but you get the point. These losses this season have been a total team effort.
  15. Sounds good, but will never happen in Buffalo. That would mean Ralph would still have to pay him, and bring in another #3 quarterback and pay him. Too much $$ for Tight A## Ralph.
  16. If you actually want the Bills to lose, why do you watch them? You obviously aren't a real fan, no real fan wants his/her team to lose.
  17. My guess is they put the Franchise Tag on Losman and hire a personal hair stylus to trim his beard.
  18. You should never base your effort to win on whether you have a chance for the playoffs or not. Each game should be played at the maximum effort to win. Also, why would LeBeau have stayed in Buffalo, he wasn't even the Defensive Coordinator here, only as assistant or something like that. Jerry Gray was the DC and went to the Redskins with Greg Williams, and they both did just as well up there as they did in Buffalo.
  19. They might lose money on concessions but the tickets are already paid for, and the dirty ole dollar is what Ralph is most concerned with.
  20. There is a reason why Culpepper has been on a different team the last 4 or 5 years, and at times, not even on a team. He is through. His career took a steep nosedive when Moss was traded away from the Vikings and Cris Carter left. He was the benefit of great receivers and a coaching staff that liked to throw.
  21. The biggest positive might be that now there are only two weeks left to this nightmare season.
  22. If my memory serves me correct, I think they threw deep to Evans once in about the last 7 or 8 weeks and he was open last week and JP over threw him by a country mile.
  23. With Ralph, money usually talks over wins. I bet he stays, and if and when he does, many loyal Bills fans like myself won't be staying around. Don't know how much more of this a human being can take.
  24. He will get at least one more shot, maybe more. He is young and has as many physical tools as anyone in the league. Some head strong coach/gm will take him in thinking they can break through the mental barriers that Bills coaches have never been able too. Besides, Rob Johnson got 4 or 5 more chances, even a Superbowl ring with Tampa, and their careers are eerily similar.
  25. Are you smoking something? Ralph would never pay McNabb, and he doesn't bring much leadership with him, more moping and stuping comments to the press. We have probably the 2 most exciting return men in the AFC with Parrish and McKelvin, and want to trade Parrish? Why not get rid of all 4 or 5 players that actually had highlight real plays this year-if there were that many.
