A QB has never won or lost a game by himself. 2-21 against winning teams? They have blown more games that they should have won against winning teams than they actually ended up winning. It is getting old the lack of football knowledge on this board with so many people blaming the futility of the Bills over the past decade on Losman, Edwards, Bledsoe or any other QB. So when the Bills lost games in the 90's was it all Jim Kelly's fault? I hardly think so. This team has been the epitome of a bad team over the past decade, bad teams not bad quarterbacks. You could put Joe Montana on this team over the past decade and he might have one or two more wins if that. The team, management and coaching as a whole has sucked for years.

Does it matter if DJ is fired?
billsfreak replied to first_and_ten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It won't change anything, because he will only be replaced by another lame asss, come cheap ex-coordinator or recycled unsuccessful ex-head coach. Ralphears won't spend money on one of those high profile actually successful ex-head coaches that are out there, and there are plenty, it will be just another Joe coming through the revolving door. -
If you were more disgusted by yesterday's game

He won't be able to do either, until the line gives him more than 1.5 - 2 seconds to get rid of the ball. -

How would you see me if my had was raised? I don't have a web cam. Seriously though, I was probably more disgusted yesterday, just more pisssed off at the Pats monday night game. -
It is only 3 games, but it is 10 years of this crap, that is why there is so much negativity. The Fins were hapless last year too, until we played them and they went on a roll after that. You are a little over confident in your prognostications, for example going to Carolina is going to be tough, any game against the Jets is going to be tough, heck any team that this team plays is going to be tough.

Which one is the veteran QB?
billsfreak replied to outsidethebox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Neither of them. In fairness to all, Sanchez has been very good especially for a rookie, but the team around him has been playing so many levels above what Edwards' teammates have been playing. Most obvious is the Jets O-Line has been spectacular while the Bills Line has been, well the Bills' Line. -
What Was the Last Big Win This Team has Had??

Most teams will say there is no such thing as a moral victory, but when that is all you have I guess we are required to accept them? -

You can say we never built on it.... we only had one more decent game the entire year (Denver) in what turned out to be maybe the most disappointing year of the last decade when you consider the 4-0 and 5-1 start. -

I would say the only game that comes to mind for me is the 31-0 pounding of the Pats on opening day, but I don't even know if that was within 5 years. Other than that the last big win in my memory was Flutie's naked bootleg against the Jags. -
They have been doing that for a decade now and it hasn't made a difference. It starts at the top and with the FO.

Jauron had been doing pretty good so far this season until he was too Chicken shiit to go for it on 4th and 1 yesterday. I felt at that point, the Bills conceded the game with almost 10 minutes left to play. Any other organization, I would say that the Miami game this weekend could be the final nail in the coffin, but with this organization, it is my guess he will still be here next year because the Bills have to pay him either way, and I don't see Ralph paying two coaches at the same time. Look at the last coach he fired before his contract was up, Ralph tried to get out of (and he may have) paying him the remainder of his contract for some bullshiit reason.

Redskins were in the playoffs just a couple years ago, can't say that for Buffalo.

Trent didn't have a great game yesterday, but it wasn't that bad considering the blocking. No QB in the league is going to be able to have a consistent downfield passing game when you have less than 2 seconds to get the ball off. He was in trouble in the backfield before Owens or Evans could even get downfield. You are never going to be able to air it out downfield without time for the play to develop.

I am not the world's biggest T.O. fan and haven't really agreed with the signing since it happened, but I have to tell you the Buffalo media were as*holes yesterday, just trying to get him to say something to start a controversy. I am sure he has been directed by Drew Rosenhaus not to say anything negative, but he did a good job not going off on the media who tried everything they could to get him to talk bad about Edwards or anyone else. T.O. has done a ton of stupid stuff in his career, but holding back yesterday was commendable. If you are going to criticize a player when he does something stupid, give him credit when they hold their own like he did yesterday.

Normally, bad backs are a chronic issue, if he had a problem with it yesterday, he probably will all season.
-
It was actually all through the game, but was more obvious at the end when he actually grounded 3 snaps in a row. And this was the huge free agent upgrade to our offensive line? We are in serious trouble for the next 13 games if we can't even get the ball to the QB without him having to make a shortstop like pickup of the ball on a bounce.

who is rooting for TO to blow up?

Fairly accurate I guess. -

Sure he has the right to be pissed, they all do. But the problem he has had everywhere he as been is, it isn't his job or something anyone who calls themselves a team player's job, to call out teammates by name to the media. Keep that within the walls of the locker room if you have to balls to, which he obviosly doesn't. His balls are through the media or on Twitter. -
I totally agree, there isn't another player on the offense today that I can say I thought they had a "good" game other than Reed and Jackson. If you had to pick an offensive player of the game of for the Bills, I would have to give it to Reed. Almost everyone else was either fumbling, dropping passes, having penalties called on them or missing blocks all day long.

A few? half of the plays is a display of my frustration, but to say a few, there were 3 plays in a row wiht bad snaps at one point in the 4th quarter, and there were several others. I never said Edwards was great, but the he was far from the only problem. With the blocking today, no quarterback would have looked like Joe Montana, more like Ryan Leaf.

I don't think any real Bills fan would hope he blows up and screws up the team more than it already is, but I do kmow that several of us, including me, expect it and have since the day he signed. -
