TO is done, stick a fork in him
billsfreak replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is total B.S.-In 7 games he has had at least 16 balls that either hit his hands, went through his hands, hit his chest or he made absolutely no effort whatsoever to get to the ball. Maybe the best pass Edwards has thrown all season went right through his hands for a sure TD. We don't have great QBs but to say there is nobody to get him the ball, is retarded. That might be the dumbest statement I have ever seen on this board. -
Still no controversy in my opinion, Fits has shown what he is, a career backup. With his terrible throws, lack of arm strength, it is obvious when healthy, at least for this season, Edwards is the starter. Shouldn't even be a discussion from anyone with a clue.

Fitzpatrick...How many times were you saying
billsfreak replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So that Browns loss was all Edwards fault? Was that him that muffed a punt that he never should have been near that gave the Browns instant field goal territory? Edwards didn't play that great at all, neither did anyone else on the team, especially the Special Teams. Please get a clue. -

I agree, I get so sickened watching this guy, who I was against coming here from the get go, give hardly no effort what so ever. He drops anything that hits his hands if isn't right in his numbers, and he drops some of them. If it isn't right in his numbers, he makes no effort what so ever to get the ball, just gives his little kid upset attitude that it was a bad pass. He won't block. The only thing he is above average at is when he has the ball in his hands and is running with it, which I think is why they are running so many reverses with him, since he wont catch the ball they hand it off to him. He has been a total waste of millions of dollars. The media makes it sound like it is all the offenses fault he has bad numbers, partially it is, but if he caught all the balls he drops or makes no effort to get to, he would have 25-30 catches already instead of 15 or whatever it is. -
Why did the Jets and the Panthers stop running?
billsfreak replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't believe the Jets stopped running, they had about a mile and a half of rushing yards. The Panthers almost had to stop running, they were in a catch-up mode with time running out and had to air it out, although they didn't give it up totally. -
lots of players to trade in the offseason
billsfreak replied to ishouldbegm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, the Defense end position has probably been the most productive position on the team this season, with the exception of Maybin, who at this point has been a total waste. The only time you heard his name yesterday was on a stupid roughing the passer call, that was a good call, just a dumb play. Schobel is all the way back, probably our best defensive player and Kelsey has been good also. As far as Denney he has been alright at least for depth at the position, or until Maybin pans out. -

That is exactly what everyone is telling you. Nobody is going to give you anything for Edwards, he has done nothing but regress. Parrish might get you a 6th, Whitner maybe a 5th but why would you want to trade him. Our entire Defensive Backfield has been hurt, why would you deal away depth at a position we can't stay healthy? -

This post would be in the top 10 ever posted on TBD. Before you can trade someone, you have to find someone who wants them. There should be something like a One Month suspension from posting here on TBD when you start such a stupid post. -

You are correct, he made a few nice throws, displayed is terribly weak arm and threw a few short/mid range passes that were so bad they couldn't even be interecepted. He threw a few nice ones that once again, Stone Hands Owens dropped again. -
What in the heck language are you speaking?

What is the biggest disappointment this year?
billsfreak replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is the difference between the first 5 or 6 games this year and last year-Lynch is a moron and got suspended, the Defense has sucked for the most part and the ST's instead of bailing us out, have been losing games for us. -
I sure hope you are being sarcastic, otherwise you need help or a good pair of glasses. Did you watch him throw last year in Cincy? He can't throw into a wind more than 10-15 yards. He looks like one of the Wizard of Oz munchkins out there. If you are talking arm strength and arm strength alone, he isn't in the same ballpark as Losman was. Ask Lee Evans who had the biggest arm, almost all of his long TD's are with Losman throwing to him.

Former Tampa GM Bruce Allen linked to Bills
billsfreak replied to cale's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, it doesn't cost anything to talk about something, but it does when the pen hits the paper, that is way more than Ralphy Boy is going to spend. -
Here is Fitzpatrick in a nutshell (as pasted from Rotoworld): With Trent Edwards battling a concussion, Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to be the Bills' starting quarterback in Week 7 against the Panthers. It hurts the entire offense. Fitzpatrick "led" a Week 6 win over the stumbling Jets, but was mostly ineffective (10-of-24 for 116 yards) and has one of the league's weakest arms. Carolina, usually susceptible to the run, will easily be able to stack the box against Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson. Vertical wideouts Lee Evans and Terrell Owens should also be downgraded

What's the biggest pleasant surprise this year
billsfreak replied to /dev/null's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As the author of the disappointing thread, I will give my input to the pleasant surprise thread: 1. If they stay healthy and un-suspended (is that a word?), I think we can have one of the top couple running back tandems for another 3 or 4 years. I don't buy any of the trade Lynch garbage. 2. I think Aaron Schobel has come back nice from a major injury. 3. Sorry, but that is all I can come up with, not alot of pleasant surprises on the NFL's version of the Titanic. -

The only problem with that is, last year he refused to come to Buffalo. He had control with a no-trade clause.. -

That is true, but I don't think it excuses all the mental errors that they have been making. A slip in play can be understood with a slip in talent, but discipline is coached. -

I would say this season in the few games we were close in, we had a chance to win and the Special Teams/Return Teams lost it for us, not Trent Edwards or any other quarterback. -
The "Fire Jauron Crowd" should settle down and realize
billsfreak replied to Fewell733's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks. I got bored at work messing around with MS Paint. Sadly, it is accurate in my opinion. -
As well as most of the defensive line and linebackers in your face, like what has been the case for most of this season so far.
-
That is just that, they have been asking for too much for him since they started trying to move him last summer.
-
Players really, really like Jauron
billsfreak replied to RockPile007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure I want him to stay, but they might as well keep him if they aren't going to put some real football minds in the front office. If not, changing coaches is just like spinning your wheels in mudd, you not going to go anywhere. -
What is the biggest disappointment this year?

The year as a whole has been totally disappointing, but in my opinion, surprisingly the biggest disappointment has been the Special Teams. For the past 6 or 7 years, the team has for the most part stunk, but you could always count on the Special Teams keeping us in games, and has been rated in the top percentage of the league every year. This year they have blown two games with fumbles, had punts touch them and lost the ball, had big runbacks against them, way too many penalties, been unable to get down to down punts, just plain undisciplined football. Not sure what has happened to Bobby April's Special Teams, but outstanding play by them has become a memory. They show April every game upset, screaming, appearing like he has lost control, along with the rest of the coaching staff. What has happened? -
A serious question that I've thought about.
billsfreak replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are totally correct. You can change the coach a dozen times (and the Bills have), but until you get competency in the front office, nobody is going to win here, with the level of talent the coaches here have been given. Like the old saying goes, "You can polish a turd but it is still a turd."
