I guess what I should have said is that Walker's "blog" is probably on par with Buffalo Rumblings - which is horrible when you consider those guys are fans working on their own time versus a guy that gets paid with a built in audience like ESPN to fall back on. And BR, while not in the game of scoops/breaking news, actually provides analysis of what fans are actually discussing at a given time. Walker provides three paragraphs of regurgiated three day old crap. Why is ESPN putting up with this crap? Has anyone ever seen Walker on tv? I seem to remember Tim on all the time.

You hit the nail on the head right there. I think I'd honestly trust something posted by Pat Moran or Brian Galliford before him.

It's not hatred per se, more disappointment. With such a built in audience as ESPN, he seems to be just wasting space. The other divisional blogs are all half decent and each bring something to the table in their own way. I just find it hard to believe he hasn't been replaced. I also find it interesting that no one's really complained about him before on TBD. He must be just that far off the radar for the average bills fan.

Does anyone actually read this clown? I think its a fair question. Say what you want about Tim Graham, but when he was on the AFC East blog, I actually went to it. He had...you know, NEWS. I'd say at the time that the AFC East blog was my go-to source on Bills news. Now, I haven't even visited in probably a month in a half until today, when I saw the enlightening discussions about "Should the Patriots trade their first round pick?" and and "Jets Shopping Tebow?" Does every article have to be a question? And has this dolt even broken a story or had a scoop once since he took over? I doubt he's ever even stepped foot in Buffalo. I think Buffalo Rumblings writes more interesting outsourced and/or linked stories than him.

Agreed - I wonder how much of those ratings are predicated on # of snaps and # of tackles I remember Matter2003 had a great post with the best and worst player rankings from PFF back in January and said the Bills players had the 9th highest combined defensive grade. Interesting to say the least.

I wanted them both back understand the moves. Sucks we cut George, but wasn't surprised with Nick after what we saw of him last year. And then I saw PFF's Evan Silva with Nick Barnett. Anyone have insight as to what these guys saw in him we didn't? Are their rankings that predicated on tackles above all else? Nothing to see here folks. Quick google search pulls this up - Sportique Apparel Company - the shirt says the fictional Tempe Arizona Buffaloes. The Buffalo looks to be Sportique's logo. While you and I would probably think twice about wearing a shirt of that could remotely be construed as looking like a division rival, I think a lot of these guys aren't bright enough to think that way. I like Marrone but I agree with Sully that some of the assistant hires were "uninspired." I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see Hackett taking on Bill B*. Time will tell. I felt bad for Cleveland fans when they hired someone so uninspired as "Chud," but now I'm jealous - wouldn't you guys want Norv and Horton as your OC and DC, respectively?

I went and checked out the Gang Green site - they're opinions are ranging from good riddance to anger as to why someone would pick the bills over the jets. I agree with you SJBF that there probably isn't much consequence to this. It's probably looking for something where there's nothing, which I believe we're all guilty of doing from time to time. I can't speak on the OP's idea that the original story was removed, but I do think its interesting that Chris Brown posted a story an hour ago with a quote attributed to Whaley with "Personally I know him and we'll see what happens. I know he's got a lot of opportunities." The word hopefully has been removed completely, which Whaley clearly said in the interview. I'll probably just chalk this up to a reporter (albeit a paid shill) cleaning up a quote of his coworker. Do most reporters clean up quotes this way? I was under the impression that they usually write what they hear, enter in words using [brackets] for emphasis, and add sic when they need to show the spelling or grammar error is on the individual, not the reporter. Is it 271 or 130? Barry is quoting a blog post from "Politics on the Hudson" with his 271 number while Harrington said yesterday "130 for renovations." In the "Politics on the Hudson" they even mention only 95 million from the State and county going to renovations, so where does the rest of the money go? Yes it has been, thank you. Personal preference here, I would just still prefer Brooks to play the position he played in college. While slot may be a different beast, I still believe that the best receivers in the league play outside. Plenty of rookies have come in and played slot. I would rather put a rookie with limited game and practice experience into a position he may feel more comfortable in early.. That being said, I hope he plays well, and takes that outside over the outside job next year. If he's good enough, he's good enough to play anywhere. Hopefully the coaching decision proves correct.

You bring up some good points. I didn't realize that he was drafted to be an outside CB, I was under the impression that we were drafting him to play where he played in college, inside. Apparently this fact wasn't backed up anywhere other than in my own head. But yes, the kid is in his second game and very little practice - isn't that all the more reason to play him at a position where he is most comfortable, inside? At least until he gets a little more game experience? That's all I'm saying. I would have been happier to see Leodis outside, Brooks inside, and Rogers on the bench where he belongs. But hey, if they're playing him outside, let's hope the experience gives him the confidence to win one of the starting CB spots next year. +1

The point of this thread is why are we playing a player on the outside if all his experience is on the inside? I'm not bashing Brooks here, I'm bashing the coaching decision. I liked the pick. Play your players where their strengths are.

When we drafted Ron Brooks this year, I thought it was a pretty interesting pickup for a guy that never played more than nickel in college (as he should, the talent ahead of him was phenomenal). With the way spread offenses have been moving the past decade or so, especially how some of the best receivers in the NFL are now playing slot, I wondered if the Bills we're ushering in a new tactic here. It seems that the past few years that the slot CB position has evolved into an entirely different position than outside CBs, with an entirely different skill set. I wondered if the NFL would ever catch on, and start drafting CBs specifically for that position. And here come the Bills, drafting a slot CB for what seems like, gasp, a slot CB role in the NFL. Hey, are the Bills involved in something revolutionary here?! But for the millionth time, it sounds like I gave the Bills credit way too early and probably read wayyyyy to far into the decision. Brooks has been playing exclusively on the outside since he's come back from IR, and not surprisingly, he's been burned. BAD. Take a look at the Bradford to Gibson touchdown - anyone want to guess where he's lined up? Outside of course. Why are we playing this kid who exclusively played inside in college on the outside in the NFL? Its not like Justin Rogers has been shutting down WRs this year. When we signed him, I immediately thought of the Julius Peppers situation in Chicago back in 2010, a player hailed as a freak but someone that has definitely been accused of taking plays off. I have thought of that quite a few times during the season, but never got around to posting it. Bear with me here - I think that the sooner they build the LA Stadium, the better. We all know Ralph isn't going to do anything with the Bills until he croaks. If the stadium is built and a team (or two) moves to LA within say the next five years (and Ralph holds on), we're golden. IMO, the Raiders, Chargers and Rams all have more tenuous situations with their stadiums and owners (and fan bases for that matter) than the Bills. Ralph just needs to hang in there (fingers crossed). The one hangup I could see would be if one team moves to LA and the NFL keeps the option open to put another team there. Anyone agree?

But the other questionable thing I see here is his attorney is Royce West - isn't this the same "State Senator" buffoon that was also involved with Dez Bryant? He seems to care about the limelight as much as his clients. Only time will tell, but Tyron may have another snake to deal with here too...

I thought it was interesting that he likes the Thursday Night Games - from everything I hear on PFT, ESPN, SI ...all the players hate Thursdays because for safety reasons. Interesting take, especially from a union rep.
