  1. Honestly? No, I'm not. I just hope he's on the field enough this year, we need his skill set as often as possible, in any fashion.
  2. He might be our second best WR... not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
  3. Still no Spags?? wtf...
  4. I've heard of him.
  5. Some of the comments below the article are fantastic.
  6. This thread would be much better with that meathead Jets fan poser who comes around every so often and stirs the pot (his name slips my mind). I'll wait until he pops up, he's always fun.
  7. One? You're too kind, sir.
  8. Have you ever tried to rip a properly worn Football helmet off of someone's head? Now try it with officials littered across the field and see if you get away with it. I highly doubt we'll see an outbreak of helmet ripping at any level of organized Football.
  9. ^The two posts above me nailed it. Any rule that is intended to improve player safety is a good rule. There is no reason a player's helmet should come off, unless he's hit hard enough, in which case he needs to be medically evaluated. I see no issues with this rule whatsoever.
  10. I'll bite; Their team is built to win now. In cases like that, you start the best QB. Wilson is their best QB. What you're describing is more like a case where a team clearly isn't going to the playoffs and wants to bring their rookie QB along slowly. Doesn't apply here. Also, I wouldn't worry about this kid's confidence. Have you ever heard him speak? Confidence might be his strongest attribute. Why can't he be another Ryan/Flacco? Similar circumstances in terms of team make-up if you ask me.
  11. What makes you think he even sees the field tonight? J/K, kinda. I'd say it's highly unlikely, but if it did play out that way, he'd be saving himself from sitting out in '12, albeit for another team in desparate need for a backup/3rd stringer.
  12. When Vince was all smiles after the Steelers game, this exact quote from Sapp came to mind. He appears to enjoy the social and economic side of Football, but not the game itself. Key word; APPEARS
  13. Two questions; why isn't Spiller on this list? Why are you assuming this squad will struggle when they performed similarly last pre-season as well and yet were the 7th ranked overall team in the NFL come week 9?
  14. Exactly. People forget we have more than 2 receivers capable of running routes/making catches. Also, to whomever posted about 3rd and 6-8 and guys catching passes short of the 1st down marker; you're taught in High School to stretch your routes to the marker on 3rd down pass plays, you'd think these guys could do the same.
  15. I work with a guy who was raised in Watertown... I firmly disagree. This dude sounds like a mix of Mike Ditka, Dan Aykroyd in his "Da Bears" skit, a random Canadian, and any bar fly at about 4am on Oliver St. in North Tonawanda. I love it...
  16. You've been a member here for almost two years and this is the first thread you've come into that has discussions OTHER than the OP's person of interest?
  17. wow.... and on a school night no less.
  18. I'm normally of the "It's only pre-season" camp, but I have to admit, our Offense has me worried about my bold predictions... That said, I would say leave it as is, making changes now would take away from the contest, IMHO.
  19. Meh... regarding pre-season; Vanilla is Vanilla. If the Jets O puts up numbers against us in week 1, worrying will be justified.
  20. I know some of our flashier guys get most of the spotlight (Freddy, Stevie, Mario) but Kyle might be our best player, he's that good. Here's hoping he turns in a healthy, Pro Bowl deserving season. There was another thread asking who the one guy was we couldn't afford to lose, and he either was my pick, or should have been my pick.
  21. Driveways aren't built to sit on.... I mean c'mon, seriously?? *why do I allow myself to get sucked back in, everytime*
  22. I'm no math major, but I don't think that circle will fit in the square peg....
  23. Sanity in an otherwise insane thread. People are quick to judge without reading/hearing/seeing actual facts as to what took place. I was just as guilty regarding the McDonalds woman. Won't allow myself to ever do that again after educating myself on that case. EDIT - That rhymed, tee hee...
