JP Losman had the "tools" too. This year's QB class may be the worst in over a decade. I personally wouldn't draft any of these guys until the 3rd round.
An Achilles tendon tear has ruined many careers. Spikes was never the same player after the injury but worked hard and contributed to a solid NFL career. Sam Cowart was not so lucky.
The guy was a cheater and a non-factor off the juice. He needs to thank Buddy Nix for signing him three times in Buffalo with zero return on investment.
He's a great receiving TE. His numbers would be much better if he a legit QB in NY. Probably a pipedream to sign him but he would be a great addition to the Bills...if they can find a QB to throw the ball.
You would take him at 15 but not at 8? If he's a first round talent and has the possibility to be solid player at the most important position on the field then you draft the guy at 8.
Bills small school legends:
Kutztown State-->Andre Reed
Benedictine College-->Jamie Mueller
Coe College--> Fred Jackson and Marv Levy
Jacksonville State--> Keith McKeller
Alabama A and M---> Howard Ballard
What's your suggestion? Outside the draft, and even than is tenuous with this years QB class, there are no upgrades available and that includes Alex Smith.
