Ray Lewis out for the Season, complete Tricep Tear
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Stl Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
suck for Lewis and Ravens fans. Feel bad for them. They also lost Webb yesterday, and the Ravens were already having a tough time stopping the run. The Bills fan in me is glad to see an opponent in the AFC weakened. But also have to say thank you to the Ravens for beating the Patsies. Butkus and Singletary are great, Lewis is the Best. -
Shawne merriman is back with the Bills
atlbillsfan1975 replied to superbills315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does this work from the financial side of things? He got the gauranteed money because he was on the squad over the summer, right? How much was that? Now is he getting more money/new contract? Just wondering...please explain if you know. -
You hit the nailed it on a few points. CJ is the Bills most dynamic player on offense. He needs to touch the ball 25 times a game. Freddie about 15. Stevie gets targeted about 7-8 times a game. The rest get whats left over. Last year Bills were 5-2, and then the wheels feel off. You have to wait till week 10-12 to get the real feel for who is a true play off team. Living here in Atl, no fans are really over confident about the Dirty Birds. 6-0 is nice, but win a playoff game or two and then we will talk. The Falcons found a way to win a 'trap' game yesterday before their bye this next week. It was an ugly win much like Buffalo's yesterday. But in the NFL when you only get 16 chances you take one any way you can.

Yes 42 more T.D. in 13 games but also 38 more int in 13 games. So Fitz cancels out his TD by throwing drive ending Int's. And sometimes game ending ones. I know the back up QB is every fans favorite player, really i do. The coaches/FO has put themselves in this position. They have made moves/cuts to guys who were not producing. The players are watching the same games we are- Fitz is not producing. Sorry but Gailey is the guy who made Kordell Stewart look good in Pitts. Gailey has experience working with mobile physically talented QB's.

You hit the nail on the head. Stevie has lost confidence in Fitz, as well he should. I think the rest of the guys also are sick of getting open and Fitz not being able to get them the ball. Bills won today in spite of Fitz. He was getting guys killed out there. Freddie in particular on the screen play. THROW the ball away. And Stevie was doing all he could to help Fitz, but Fitz can not throw the ball. And the fact that the Bills give Seattle a slightly better LATE ROUND pick based on how many games Jackson plays is crazy. I hope that is really some fan based made up crap, because that is another thing which will kill a locker room.

Here's Something Else To Worry About
atlbillsfan1975 replied to yungmack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with K-9. Levitre is worth resigning if it can be worked out. As far as the rest and even with Levitre, it is all about money. These players know now more then ever football is a brutal business. Make as much money as you can GAURENTEED, and get out as quick as you can. You will alway shave to find role players and back ups, that is the nature of the business. Some other team will pay more for your back up who flshed some talent, if they are in dire need of it. Honestly the Bills have a great young team in place for atleast another year or two, they just need a QB and a LB. -
Let's say the bills bomb out... is anyone else
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Jdragon2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You really think that? I mean they brought in Vince Young as a back up. They also traded for T Jackson. I am not so sure i believe they think this way. If anything i think those two moves point to the fact that this regime realizes they have to win this year or they will not be makin gthose decisions in April. -
QB's we can make a play 4, Other than Draft
atlbillsfan1975 replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watched Cousins on Sunday when RGIII went down. Made some very nice throws. Also he looked very comfortable and poised overall. He did throw 2 picks which were complete rookie 'getting to greedy' type of mistakes. He could turn out to be the next Matt Schaub or Ryan Fitzpatrick. -
yes, everyone who said 'if he had a good oline he would be a better qb' is startin gto quit that talk to. Fitz just is not an elite QB. He is decent. IF the Bills could run the ball and play defense, which was the blue print that Nix was trying to build, then the Bills would have success. The more pressure put on Fitz to 'out shoot' another team, the results will often times be bad. . The Oakland game and N.E. at home last year were a long time ago.

As my father use to always say about vegas ' they do not build those big building because they lose'. So i get your point. I also know it can change day to day and week to week. IF the Bills get killed this week again, i would believe those odds would go down again. But when you look around the league you have some darn good teams with the same record or worse the the Bills. Look at the Saints, Packers,Detroit, Pitts, Denver etc... These were playoff teams a year ago and thought to be very good teams this year. Parity is alive and well in the NFL. I have watched almost every Falcons game, and they are a good but very beatable team. Not sure about Texans, i have not seen any games of theirs yet. The Bills seem like a team in need of some one to step up and be the leader. i think Dareus would be that guy but unfortunately his brothers death has left him dealing with much more important things. Fitz stinks and the team knows it. You can see Stevie pissed off. So yes i think Vegas is holding on to something. They know the talent this team has, and IF they can come up with a big win and pull together i think they can make a run.

Who will be HC next year?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are right about Singletary, but Davis points to his tough style as what turned him around. You need both, a guy that can coach and also command respect from his players. Gailey is NOT respected by his players. -
Leach? I guess. I mean the guy knows how to run a spread offense. is that what you are thinking for unconventional? I agree with all your points. You almost have to get like the Saints did with Peyton. Lucky. For every Peyton there are many more bad examples. I think what you need to do though is bring a HC and QB in together from day one. I look to the Falcons for my reasoning. They got a good GM and then he hired a good HC then they drafted a franchise QB with their first pick in that draft. Honestly a new HC and a good QB and this team is a playoff or better team. The talent is there(except qb). They just need a real leader.

if they cut Jackson after TRADING for him a month ago and with out playing a snap, then the front office should be fired. I think this is another indication of how valuable Levitre is. Guy has not missed any time really since he has been here. I do not think he is a Grubbs or Nicks talent wise. But his ability to stay healthy may mean a few more dollars.

Mario Williams playing with Injury?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to FitzShowUsYourTitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So Mario tells the Bills 'do not put me on the injury report because i do not want to answer questions about it with the media'. But then he tells the media it is the reason he has struggled so far? -
How the Bills can beat the 49ers
atlbillsfan1975 replied to sjjr's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF Buffalo can run the ball they CAN win the game. BUT will CHAN stick to it, even if it is not working at first? SF D is good but you can move the ball on them. Just like last week, who ever wins the turn over battle and runs the ball better, will win. -
Mario Williams playing with Injury?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to FitzShowUsYourTitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i wonder are all th epeople who are saying 'he is a $100 mil player, he needs to play like it' are you the same people who were saying 'sign him for whatever it costs'? Ask yourself that before you call him out for not having 5 sacks yet. The season is 16 games, the Bills DO have a better pass rusher over all so far then last year. So i think it is fair to see what happens by week 16 not week 5 -
FWIW: Whitner commentary on Bills coaching
atlbillsfan1975 replied to iommi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Whitner was a solid player. Worth the 8th pick? No. But that is not his fault. He tried to be aleader on a team that had none, including its coach- under Jauron. He is showing that with proper players around him and good coaching he is a solid starter in this league. Good luck to him, but yes i hope Graham or another guy gets deep behind him because hit bites on a play fake to freddie. I would come out with that play to start the game. -
I think this is the only way the Bills win. They will have to 'steal' one from the 49ers. Bills can do things on offense to put up points- if Fitz is 'on'. I doubt this though because i think Whitner has been looking forward to playing the Bills for a few years now. He will get the great D fired up. This one could get ugly, early

You and th eOP are saying the same thing. When Fitz plays good the team wins, when he plays bad the team loses. So far fitz is 2 good games and 2 bad games. I think this sounds about right for him this year. Bills end up 8-8 and Fitz has crazy T.D #'s and crazy Int #'S.
-
The Spiller fumble before the half was the biggest play. Why Chan has him in there and not Choice is beyond me. The interior of our oline is on eof the strengths of the team. Pound it up the middle once. Or fake that and throw to Chandler over the top. But do not run the guy with a bum shoulder into a mass of 300lb guys on the goal line. That was just idiotic on Chans part. I get what the OP is saying. And agree to some extent. i think the coaches and players do what the OP did. Break the game down figure out where it went wrong. If the Bills are up 28-7 then it is a different game all together. Maybe Wanny gets more aggressive. Blitzes some, gets out of his crappy nickel. Who knows really. I see both sides of it. The D not able to stop the Pats for 6 consecutive scores is crazy. I also wonder what was the Pats average yard per play in the second half?? It had to be 9-10yds?

Everyone needs to settle a bit
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand what the OP was trying to get at. Sunday and Monday i was just pissed at the game and way the Bills played. Today i started to think about some of the positives. Gilmore had some nice pass defended- he will only get better. Fitz to jackson for the long gainer was a nice wrinkle. I could say more but i am sure each thing i point out will be countered by a negative opposite play. Trust me i think this team has completely under achieved pre-season expectations. And i am not sure if Chan and Wanny can right the ship, but i am still going to watch. IF they can win one of the next two and be 3-3 after the first 6 then they got a shot. I remember in the preseason many of us thought this way. So, here the Bills are at 2-2, with a shot at 3-3. -
Gailey says media twists the stats.

My Buddy who is a Saints fan would argue with you. -
Did Brady call the Bills "F'n Bit@hes"?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Silvercrw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You could see it on his face at times during the game BEFORE they blew the Bills away. He could not believe they were losing to the Bills. It looked to me like he was begining to realize his time is coming to an end. Then of course the Bills said no wait, you can still kick the crap out of us!! Here we wont cover anyone or put any defenders in the middle of the field. Just run guys on post patterns and you can score at will Tom!! Tom and Bill wanted that game bad. Bill even brought out his 'good luck Hoodie' for the game.
