Pats fans laughing at Bills GM firing
12Kachy replied to CanadianFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They won't be good forever. Even if Brady stays another 5 years, that 6th year will be a dozy. The Pats got lucky with Brady and Bill. Now they can pretty much sign anyone because of who they are. But someday they will return to the Pats of the 80s and 90s. Hopefully they hire Bill Buckner as a coach. -
Megamind or just plain Toast, as in he is toast after his second season.

Totally agree. On both operations. Brandon is the last piece to get the boot to completely change the culture of Buffalo Hockey and Football.

Good for the Bills. I love how the PR department really doesn't have to do so much work. The Pegula's are making it easy on their employees. All they do is send the same statement every time, change the position, names, and switch Bills or Sabres. Good business model, saves them from paying the PR department guys to much for making new statements. This was a good move but the never ending story of rebuilding is getting exhausting in both the "Hockey" and "Football" operations. It was good for Pegula to buy the Bills to keep them in Buffalo, however he is not a very good owner of sports teams. Hopefully McD will make it three years.

Sal: Bills were going to draft Lattimore at 10
12Kachy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes, but this year they know it. Ryan came in like a wrecking ball, promising playoffs. McD came in saying he is changing the culture. He knows this team has a better chance of not going to the playoffs this year. Might as well rack up some picks for next season. But no one, and I mean no one, can rebuild the wagons like the Buffalo Bills. -

The Bills are in a rebuild. Stock piling picks help the team get better in a couple of years. -
Bills trade #10 for #27, a 3rd, and 2018 1st

I hope your right, but with the schedule, new coaches and schemes, the Bills are back in the top 10 next season. Probably around 6. -

This was a good trade down. I would have liked to see another pick somewhere added on for dropping all the way back to 27, but for a team rebuilding, this stocks some picks next year. -
Chiefs' GM Dorsey: 2017 Draft QBs not NFL ready

Sounds like Whaley will draft QB in the 1st. -
Whaley wants Cardale to be 2017 starter

If true, DW is lost and is trying to do whatever anyone else has to catch fire. He'll likely trade a 1st for Romo. -
"We're close / must win now" mode or "rebuilding"
12Kachy replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peg stated he is not in win now mode during one of his interviews. Having the 4th hardest schedule rubs it in. With the salary cap, the 16 years with no playoffs and really no chance to win the AFC East with Brady and Phins leading, IMO the Bills are in slap poop against the wall to see if it sticks mode. They will put together something this year, hopefully MCD can do something with it. -
Rex Ryan on his NFL future: "I'm tired of getting !@#$
12Kachy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah that is the plan. But the Bills have a small chance of doing either in the first year under MCD. Whaley has the team up against the Salary Cap and this team is not one - two pieces away from glory. Add in a new offense, possibly a new QB, switch back to 4-3 D and players have to learn new systems. If McD fails at make a winner, then this team will be hard pressed into finding a decent coach the next time around. -
Rex Ryan on his NFL future: "I'm tired of getting !@#$
12Kachy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't blame ole Rexy one bit. I wasn't a fan of him being hired as coach but he put butts in seats with his BS and talking. You have to give him credit for going all in and the team should have given him one more year to produce with the amount of injuries this team had. I really wonder how the Bills are going to manage to fill seats this year. McD is not the bullish type, which is likely good for the long run, but the team will likely have a mediocre year at best and those Rexy talks which sold seats are gone. The Bills better hope they hit fire with McD or this team is going to look like the other team down the Lake. -
Will Tyrod Taylor win a Superbowl in his career?
12Kachy replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There have been plenty of good QBs who don't have a super bowl ring. Some guy named Jim Kelly comes to mind. -
Bills stuck with mediocre coordinators once again
12Kachy replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every one is happy with this hire, but I'm with you. The OC job is important and right now they don't have one and no credible candidates. MCD will make it two years before he is fired and hopefully Whaley goes with him. But in the mean time Pegula has to start thinking about how to sell tickets to games. The last two years we had all the Rexy talk which put butts in seats. I don't think Pegula makes much money this coming season with this hire. But maybe if they hold on to MCD past two years the Bills can make the playoffs in 3-5 years. -
So, ah, do I take orders from you or you?

The Broncos Have Hired Both McCoy & Musgrave
12Kachy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well there goes McD. He will only last two seasons. Def will be great, but Off will be ranked 32nd. Don't blame McCoy and Musgrave. Broncos have something to work with there. The Bills will have Jones after march. -
Official: Leslie Frazier Hired to be McDermott's DC
12Kachy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Without a QB. Just let that sink in. Tyrod seems done in Buffalo. Whaley botched the contract on that one and there is no reason to pay Tyrod that much. RIvers won't come if he is let go; he will head straight to Denver with McCoy. So the Bills could pick up Fitzpatrick. -
Musgrave is the only one left. Plus the Bills dont have a QB. If they keep Tyrod, maybe they can figure it out, but it wont matter now. The Offense will suck and the Defense can only hold so long before they just break from being on the field to long. The Bills are heading to 18 and more.

Potential Bidding War over McCoy?
12Kachy replied to realtruelove's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Report out of Denver is McCoy is working on a deal there. Maybe the Broncos upgraded to a digital sender. Now they can scan a copy over. I would take Lynch over Jones. -

This is a good hire. Means MC is going to be the HC and not mess around with the DEF too much maybe. The Bills are pretty screwed with the Offense though. Lynn just went to the LA Chargers and M. McCoy was just hired by the Broncos. Maybe MC will bring a High School coach and run the ball every play. -
Tim Graham article -T Pegs considers dysfunction an insult

The best quote was KP saying "That's where we want to be" about Buffalo while living in Florida. We want to be in Buffalo but we live here in FL. The weather is better and maybe the taxes are cheaper. Mc has connections to the Tomlin, where Whaley use to work prior to the Bills. There is your connections and references.
