  1. Hey altima I live in Stone Mountain GA and teach high school in Atlanta so I hear about the Falcons all the time. Im also goin to the game. Here is the deal with ATL: Most people in the ATL especially the sports talk radio shows (680 the fan) think that after only one season (ok a great season) that Matt RYan is for sure the next Peyton Manning. They also believe that Michael Turner is a top 3 RB in the NFL. The addition of Gonzo should make there offense as good as almost any in the league but here are the holes. 1. The OLine was a huge group of overachievers last year. That may not be the case this year as teams start to do to Ryan what they began to do to Peyton BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ. 2. The D is pathetic....... plain and simple. COY WIRE IS A STARTING LB here right now! Peterson had to brought in on his last leg just so that the team would not have an average starting age of 16 on that side of the ball. 3. The secondary is a joke. They are starting to build the D through the draft and if you are a falcon fan you should be happy with where your team is...... Rome wasnt built in a day. Dimitroff pretty much built there O in one year. The D will take more time. Jamal Anderson (the D lineman not the old cokehead RB) has one last year to prove hes not a complete bust or he will c the door. Peria Jerry was drafted to anchor the line but the only real proven talent on that side of the ball is John Abraham and he is one bad cough away from missing half the season with his yearly injury. Hope that gives you some ammo but if it doesnt just remind him that his last FRANCHISE QB was so sick in the head that he got his kicks from killing helpless animals..... should shut him up or prove hes as sick was Vick was eh eh is.
  2. The fact that the actual developer is quoted as nameing his teams is worthy of the post ................ but its not like we all didnt know who the teams were that were "possible relocation cities". I still say that either St. Louis or San Diego end up there.
  3. Is it me or does KC not have the slightest bit of patience with a QB? Draft Brodie Croyle and let him play....what.... 9 games where he had 6ts and 6ints and give up on him. Then fall backwards into Tyler Thigpen who threw 18tds in 11 games and give up on him. Then you trade for a QB with barley a few more starts than Thigpen and you commit over 60 mil to the guy before he plays a snap in your uniform? Man how things have changed in Kansas City huh?
  4. My opinion on what we are gonna see this year from Maybn is a few highlight reel type plays which will get everyone excited for the future mixed into a whole lot of him looking lost on the field. He will get run at every time he is in there on first or second down just like the last poster said BUT THAT IS A GOOD THING. The only way the kid is ognna learn to play the run and be an everydown DE is to get embarassed a little bit on the field. This is not a QB where you dont play him as a rookie because you fear that trial by fire could get him killed and cause him to be gunshy (see David Carr) but instead it is him learning on the job. This team is so desperate for an all around stud DE that I dont think we have a choice but to play the kid as much as possible without shattering his confidence.
  5. My fav on NHL network is the Classic Series show. A couple of weeks ago they did the Sabres Bruins 93 series with the May Day goal.
  6. Lets see if as a board we can come to a concensus on a winner.
  7. Donte isnt gettin cut or losin his starting spot regardless of if it is at FS or SS. Whether or not he is a Bill for the long hall is a completly different story.
  8. I only ask this because rotoworld cited a Fox Sports article saying the following: The Bills reportedly have "backup plans" to convert Aaron Maybin to linebacker if he proves to light at defensive end during the season. The first-rounder has played to mixed reviews during the summer. It sounds like any move to linebacker would be a last resort. We're guessing that wouldn't happen until next offseason. Why would you draft a guy if you are so not convinced of his abilities at DE that you have to create a BACKUP plan?
  9. Good article by WGR (I know its rare) breaking down the possible Saftey lineups: http://www.wgr550.com/Training-Camp-Countd...y-Dance/4785040
  10. My apologies. For what its worth I didnt see your thread and I saw the two blurbs on rotoworld and found it to be very misleading and confusing.
  11. Bryan Scott is reportedly expected to be Buffalo's starting strong safety this season. While Scott surprisingly appears entrenched at the valuable IDP spot, Donte Whitner will face a challenge from rookie Jairus Byrd for the free safety position. Buffalo could use the three players in a rotation, but Whitner risks being the odd man out. Scott is worth a look in deep IDP affairs. Even though he played nickel corner for the Bills last year, Donte Whitner will be focusing on safety this season. Reggie Corner, Drayton Florence and Ashton Youboty will compete for the nickel corner job. Whitner was merely filling in last year for an injured Youboty. Whitner faces the possiblity of losing a starting job this year to Jairus Byrd. IDP leaguers watch out. What is this?
  12. I dont know if I will actually sit down and watch entire UFL games but I will sure as hell be glad to see some football highlights breakup the boreing streak of baseball highlights that sportscenter puts on during the summer. homerun...... groundball......doubleplay and repeat.
  13. Does America love football or does America love the NFL? The USFL didnt work, the XFL didnt work (cause they were a joke), the NFLEurope didnt work. Will you watch the UFL and why or why not?
  14. A few years ago he was considered a great reciever whos celebrations and during week actions were harmless and fun. This was because the Bengals were winning games. What Chad doesnt seem to get is you can get away with that crap when your winning but when your losing and you continue it just makes you look selfish, narcissistic, and like a bad teammate. Plus his act went from fun to just wierd. Funny celebrations ended with the homemade hall of fame jacket. From there he did the nameplate thing, the name change, the entire summer of pleading for a trade, the pretent face tattoo and now this............ bum
  15. CONGRADS!!!!!! He and I have the same birthday! June 23rd baby!!
  16. Im still not understanding why Washington is moving him to LB when they have a need at DE. Why change a guys position if you dont need too? And if they wanted to draft a LB why didnt you take a guy like Cushing who was still on the board?
  17. I will make a list of places that I always go when I go home to the B-Lo. 1. Mighty Taco 2. Mighty Taco 3. Francos Pizza 4. Mighty Taco 5. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm of yea Mighty Taco!!!!!
  18. CNN is saying hes dead as is MSN and the LA Times........ face it hes dead
  19. During the Colbert Report Stephen Colbert ripped Brett Favre: "Another season of Favre Waffeling has begun. This means its lasted longer than the XFL. " "Green Bay fans woud like to help Favre become a Viking by putting him on a ship and setting it on fire." "I thnk Favre comming back is a great thing because kids have always looked up to him, and now senior citizens can too. Just think of how much money our country could save if our seniors took Favre's advice and came out of retirment. Think how much we could save on medicare and social security! Of course they would need to find an employer who is willing to hire an OLD, UNPRODUCTIVE INJURY PRONE worker. I suggest they start by calling the Minnesota Vikings."
  20. http://www.comedycentral.com/videos/index....?videoId=231839 funny stuff
  21. It all depends on the format your in. In PPR leagues I would take Andre Johnson or Larry Fitz over Moss and Welker. As for RBs yea AP is the top pick but a healthy Brian Westbrook is nasty. Brady should be the top QB in any format. But dont sleep on DWill from Carolina. He had a monster year last year and should continue that pace with his whole starting O line back.
