  1. ESPN.coms insider has the following story: There are some who don't see Terrell Owens drawing much interest on the free agent market after this season's one-year contract is up with the Buffalo Bills. Just don't include T.O. himself in that cohort. "Realistically I could see at least two to three" more seasons, Owens said to Jay Glazer on the reporter's "After Party" show last week. The Buffalo News had word on Thursday that Owens would be interested in returning to Buffalo ... if they'll have him. "I'm not going to limit myself in discounting any type of situation," Owens said. "For me, I know I can play." With Owens and Lee Evans both hitting free agency this offseason, as well as many needs across the roster (and on the coaching staff), it's tough to say whether the Bills will have money left over to retain Owens. But there's another wildly interesting possibility, a return to where it all started for T.O.: the San Francisco 49ers. "Maybe to remove the curse, they have to put me back in that uniform," Owens said recently, per the Sacramento Bee. The curse is that no Niners wideout has come close to the 1,000 receiving yards mark since Owens' departure. Owens himself had five such seasons while in Frisco. Given the emergence of Michael Crabtree at WR and Vernon Davis as a glorified receiver at TE, we consider this one unlikely. So how many teams will he have to choose from? NFL Insider Adam Schefter emailed us with his take on the market for T.O. in 2010: Ummmm dont I recall Evans signing a contract extention last year.......... how do you write this and not know that?
  2. Hopefully they will bring in a GM and he will hire either a proven head coach (not that many are out there that are willing to come to Buffalo) or a proven coordinator who can play a style of football suitable to Buffalo. I like Russ Grimm but would need to see what he would bring in system wise on the O and the D. Is he a 34 guy? I assume from his days in Pitt he would not be a Tampa 2 guy. What kind of offensive system would be bring? Would it be the Arizona throw all the time offense or is he more the old Pitt style of smash mouth football? Also who is to say a guy like Grimm would be able to develop a QB? If hes hired we would need to have some very high quality assistants. No more Turk or Perry.
  3. Let be realistic here people. Parcells and Reeves dont want anything to do with Buffalo. 4. I would sign Hasselback and draft a guy like Locker. Let Hasselback play and let Locker learn.
  5. DT Casey Hapton, OLB/DE Aaron Kampman, DE Adewale Ogunleye. They are all quality players who would be upgrades.
  6. Peters could have been a dominant LT if he wouldnt have started drinking his own Kool-Aid. The guy was talented as hell but even in his first Pro Bowl year he was still raw and had a lot of learning to do. If he would have realized that he still had a long way to go and would have kept his nose to the grindstone he would have developed into a dominant LT........ but nooooo he saw his vote to the Pro Bowl as a message that he was done in his development and could now coast along on his talent alone. That has now blown up in his face. Yes 6 sacks in half a season out of your top paid LT is bad. A top end LT should not let up more than a handful of sacks in a BAD year. He is not that guy.... and thats his fault because he could have been.
  7. Wait wait wait wait wait.... let me make sure I hear you correctly. You really believe that the Bills will be able to lure a top former HC to be a coordinator here? Comeon guys can we turn the talks to somehthing realalistic here. We are not going to hire any of the following coaches: Marty Fisher Cower Shannahan Gruden Holmgren Billeck THEY ALL COST TOO MUCH! and to have the audacity to suggest we go after a top flight coordinator just shows that you have not been paying attention to how this franchise does business. Expect there to be about 4 or 5 coordinators on everyones short list this offseason and we will get the one who nobody else hires. He will then hire coordinators that nobody has ever heard of.
  8. Actually it is 14 million over the course of this year and the next two and there is NO WAY IN HELL Bud Adams eats that contract. Jeff Fisher is going nowhere.
  9. Wrong.... Snyder is an idiot who just throws money at players and coaches BUT every blind squirrl gets a nut once and a while. Meanwhile our squirrl sits in his tree and hopes that the nut falls in his lap.
  10. If I was the Jets I would be really concerned about Jenkins long term with this injury. Remember that he went almost two whole season in Carolina without playing because of major injuries. Yes he was healthy last year but this wear and tear may doom him. Im not sure what teh cap ramifications would be but if they aquired Rogers I would bet they would lok to cut ties with the often injured Jenkins even if he has been a beast.
  11. I never said its going to happen....... Im just a little sick of Mangini helpping out his old team like this. And it happens all the freaking time like Billicheat sending Cassel to his old buddy. Maybe we need to hire a guy who can pick players off his old team.
  12. How about we play the what team does Parrish go to game and see who gets it right......... and the FA wire is not an option. I will start by predicting Jacksonville.
  13. DT has not been our problem. Our DEs are terrible against the run and our LBs are all to small to take on any blockers. That is why we are getting torched in the run game............ oh yea and the scheme is god awful against the run unless you have an all world SS who can come into the box and make plays like another Linebacker (like Lynch with TB and Bob Sanders with Indy)
  14. So first the Mangenius decides to gift wrap Sanchez to his old team on draft day for a grab bag of loser players like Abram Elam and Keyon Coleman. I know Sanchez looked bad last week but hes a top 10 draft pick so there is a lot of value there. Then he trades Braylon Edwards for another grab bag of losers including the Jets 4th WR? Now according to rotoworld who is citing the Cleveland Plain Dealer there is a chance he sends his best defensive player to NY!! "Beat writer Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer speculates that the Jets could inquire about DT Shaun Rogers as Tuesday's trade deadline approaches." Is Mangini still on the Jets payroll or does it just seem that way? And if Shaun Rogers is available why arent the Bills intrested at all? Reasons you should want Rogers if your Buffalo: 1. A 3 man rotation of Rogers, Stroud and Kyle WIlliams would be nasty 2. If you have any desire to change to a 34 in the future (not saying they do but if) he is the perfect nose tackle. 3. He will prolly come at a cheap price I would think about the same as you paid for Stroud 3rd & 5th.... tops you would have to pay a 2nd. 4. RALPH if you want fans to believe that you care again show us with some action not just sitting back saying "I wont trade TO so the fans know I care about them" AGHHHH!
  15. If they have not already traded him than sitting him was dumb. You need to show him to other teams if you want to move him.
  16. Umm why did you edit out the word sexiest?
  17. Does the city of Baltimore not feel bad that they got a team back by taking it from another city....... putting that city through the heartache that they also had to go through? I know Cleveland got another team but its just not the same.
  18. Ok here is my dilemma. I need a big week from my last player tonight in my fantasy league. I have two options and its a tough one. First my league is a PPR league just in case that plays a role int he choice. I can start Braylon Edwards in his first game in NY or Jerico Cotchery. Cotchery was listed as questionable all week but was just said to be active. Im screwed though if he cant play all game long. Who should I start and why...... need some quick responses guys.
  19. Here is what is says: According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Bills might want to consider what the market would offer for Terrell Owens. It makes a lot of sense for the Bills to dangle T.O., he notes. Owens is in the last year of a one-year, $6.5 million contract. If Buffalo were to trade Owens, they could get back a mid-round draft pick for a player who will be free to walk away from the organization after this season in a year when the Bills are no longer viewed as a playoff contender. What's more, the Bills would save about two-thirds of his salary -- over $4 million, a nice tidy sum for a franchise that has looked for alternative ways to generate revenue (and he's already helped them sell-out for the rest of the year). Schefter believes it would take a playoff-caliber team that needed a wide receiver to help make this trade work. But a team such as Chicago, which could use a play-making wide receiver to help unseat the first-place Minnesota Vikings, might find it worthwhile to part with a mid-round pick for an offensive playmaker that can help make a difference this season.
  20. The sad truth is that nobody can force Ralph out. The only way for him to go is to die and knowing our luck he will be that guy who lives to be 107.
