  1. I agree bkc. If this is for a 4th or 5th and the Bills were not at least in on this then Nix is nutz..... nix is nutz haha I like the sound of that.
  2. No matter how well the D gels together the fact that our O is goign to keep them on the field will doom them from being able to be a top ranked D. I will be optimistic about the D and say we finish 19th in total D but in the top 5 in causing turnovers.
  3. The reason they want to move him is because Oher fell into their lap last year and is a franchise LT. Sure moving Gaither to RT sounds smart to us but they don’t want to pay a right tackle left tackle money. That is the main reason they want to move him. Oh and you go right ahead and keep ur faith in Nix and his eye for talent and we will rehash this convo at the end of the year when the Bills are 2-14 took the most sacks in the NFL and lost at least 2 QBs to injury. You cannot be serious when you say that you are ok with this O Line and or the direction of this quote unquote rebuilding plan. Im sure you have been a Bills fan long enough to not be that naive.
  4. I am totally ok with rebuilding. I welcome rebuilding. But drafting a RB in the top 10 as your first pick of the new regime does not scream out rebuilding to me it says we want a new way to sell tickets without building a good team. Drafting front 5 on O and front 7 on D is how you rebuild a team. And to the two year plan concept: if this is year number one and we added a RB, DT, DE, WR with out first 4 picks does that mean that next year the plan is a QB a LT and a RT? Seems backwards to me.
  5. Im just at a loss as to how the Bills front office and coaching staff can take a look at our tackles, both starters and depth, and not shudder. Last year we went in with major questions on the line and the staff said we will be fine and we were not. By the looks of things this line may actually be worse than it was last year. Bell and Wood comming off injury. Cornell Green..... really? I think Hangarder is a solid depth guy but not a top notch starter. LeVitre is the only guy I have confidence in this year. Yes I do think that LeVitre and Wood are our guards for years to come and I love those picks but..... what is more important in todays NFL tackles or guards? DO YOU KNOW HOW EMBARASSING GAMES AGAINST THE JETS BLITZ ARE GOING TO BE!!???!!! If there plan is to let young guys get experience and lose a lot so we can draft our QB of the future next year with a top 3 pick than fine. But how does that solve the protection issue. You failed to address it in the draft again and now with a possible chance to get a very solid if not very good LT from Baltimore for a 2nd you decide against it? Is it because we know for sure that pick will be a top 3 in round 2? Why not move Lynch for a third and see if they will take two thirds for Gaithier instead? I know its not as simple as im making it sound but when I read articles saying that the Bills line this year may be one of the worst in history it is freaking depressing. Through all that though I will still say.......GO BILLS!!
  6. If Wangs injury is serious is there any chance that it forces the Bills hand and they go ahead and meet Baltimores demands for Gaither or will they sign some new scrub to add to our LT depth?
  7. Yea I gotta agree with the others here after reading the article I am not convinced that we SHOULD go get Campbell.
  8. The only QB this year I like is Bradford. If somehow someway he gets past STL and is on the board when Washington picks at 5 then I say the Bills make a play for him if the price is right. How about offer them our 4th next year to move up from 9 to 5? I know that isnt what the value chart says but it would compensate them and give them back one of the picks they traded away to get McNabb. We could then go ahead and draft Bradford. Then..... and sorry if im going trade wild in a league that is notorious for not haveing many trades.... but then we could take our 2nd rounder and move it to Baltimore for Gathier. Left Tackle and Quarterback done and done
  9. Im with you. Im not trying to say that Campbell is the long term answer but unless you think that your franchise QB is in this draft (which I do not) why the heck isnt it worth it to give the guy a shot for the right price. Anyone who tries to tell themselves that Campbell is not better than Edwards or Fitz is hittin the Bills Kool-aid to hard. Also anyone who thinks that Chan can turn any of the 3 qbs we have into our long term answer is also nutz. There is a reason that we were in on McNabb & its cause Buddy and Chan know our 3 qbs suck harry ones. I agree that you need a very good QB to be a contender in this league but to develop that very good qb you need a steady front 5 in front of him. Until we stabalize our line I still support holding off on a first round QB. If you want to draft a guy in the 3rd or 4th and give him time to develop thats fine but then you still need a stopgap that will allow you to be competitive in the mean time and the only guy available right now for a reasonable price would be Mr. Campbell.
  10. For me it comes down to how you approach building a team. I want the Bills to use the draft to focus on the lines. I want that to be our draft philosophy. I am a believer that a QB cannot develop behind a bad line and that deficencies in the skill positions can be hidden by strong line play but that strong skill positions cannot hide bad line play (see 2009-2010 Bills). Also I am not a fan of any QB in this draft after Bradford (and im not 100% sold on him). I personally like the idea of trading a 5th, no higher than a 5th, but a 5th for Campbell. I would then let Campbell, Edwards & Fitz battle it out during camp. Competition brings out the best in guys. If Campbell isnt the answer then fine, you look toward the 2011 draft for a QB and by then maybe you have stabalized your line and developed another WR and put that new QB into a situation where he can suceed. If Campbell does suceed than you have found a young QB for a 5th round pick. I personally like Campbell better than Hasselback, Buldger and all the other older beatdown vets. Campbell has something to prove and is still young enough to do it. Rome wasnt built in a day so get Campbell to add a new body to the QB competition and work on building the foundation of this team before drafting a QB. Please build a team the RIGHT WAY for once.
  11. Dont say that!! Serenity now, Serenity now, Serenity now, Serenity now, Serenity now.
  12. I have gone back and forth on this guy. I am not opposed to taking him but I guess it will just depend on what is available in the second round when the Bills pick. If all of the top guys I like are gone then sure I would take a chance on a guy who could become a dominate DT. Maybe, and its a big maybe, becoming a professional and being around a group of pros will motivate this guy to get himself in shape. Nobody can question the kind of athlete this guy is for his size.
  13. What about Flo at RT and still drafting a LT or traading for Gathier? Our line would be upgraded in a big hurry. Plus that would be a good mix of youth and veterans and depth with Green and Bell being the primary backups at the tackle positions.
  14. No No No No No. The last thing you want is a guy with injury problems and has shown that football isnt too important to him. Are we really to the point where we want to sign Raider castoffs?
  15. I still think the Bills will wait until after the draft and then reassess who is out there on the WR market. I say the Bills still bring in a vet WR (not a big name) to compete with Johnson and Hardy. I say bring in a guy like Kevin Curtis who wont break teh bank (and yes I know hes coming off injuries) and make it an open competition for the number 2 spot. Oh yea and release Roscoe he sucks
  16. Seattle just traded away picks for the guy they think is their QB of the future in Whitehurst. No way they now use a top 10 pick on another QB. Cross them off. Washington maybe but I still dont see it.
  17. If nobody else posts can we vote another 2 off?
  18. more importantly it means that Clausen is more going to be available for the Bills. The question is does Buddy think hes a franchise QB. If the answer tot hat question is yes they MUST select him, if the answer is no than I wonder how far he slips. Holmgren passing would tell me something though.
  19. Story just got picked up by ProFootballTalk.com too....... finally the rest of the nation will find out what we already knew.... incompetence lives at 1 Bills Drive
