  1. And if things go well by the Year 2026 the league will expand by adding the London Blitzkreig......... wait that still may be too soon to be in good taste.
  2. Evans will get an elite contract not because he is an elite player but because somebody will pay him "elite" money just because he will be the best WR available. Did anyone in their right mind think Berneard Berrian was a 7mil a year WR? I sure as hell didnt. In the NFL today you dont make what you are worth compared to similar players at your position you get paid based on what other options are out their for teams that year. If Evans hits the FA market regardless of the fact that he has never been to a pro bowl he will most likley be the best WR on the FA market. When a team is desperate for a WR they will overpay to make sure they get the guy...... then the following year another WR will start the negotiations at that number. There is a reason that Larry Fitz makes so much more than Anquan Boldin and its just because his contract was gonna end first not because hes SOOOO much better of a player. If the Bills are smart they will realize two things 1. Pay Evans because anyone you would try and sign to replace him you will have to overpay anyways so you may as well keep the guy that you already know is talented. 2. Pay Peters whatever he wants plus a free fruit basket to make sure hes happy because he is THE single most important player on this team, and because you are going to set this franchiseback ten years if you lose him.
  3. The real question is... What is Kevin Jones gonna cost? He has been showing scouts that he is pretty healthy for a few months now and has recieved a couple of offers (I believe the Pats made on earlier in the offseason) but he has turned them down because of the $$$$$. If he isnt willing to agree to an insentive based contract then I say pass.
  4. Marshawn Please stay out of trouble.....................BUT if trouble finds you call me jon libertti.......... also I work on references so please pass my number along to Mr. Hardy as I'm sure he will need it soon as well.
  5. Hopefully it was Teyo Johnson since he was just released............. Maybe Lynch and the other 2 can pin it on him!
  6. So based on the responses do we think that players of the 83 class would still be ahll of famers if they came into the league as a rookie today? What if Marino was drafter this year by Seattle or Elway was drafted by Minnesota or Kelly by San Francisco? Would they still be HOFers based on the talent alone?
  7. Whatever will.......... SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!......... to cliche?
  8. ESPN is running an artilce that talks about how the number of top notch QBs is smaller than ever. If we assume this is true than why is it? Could it be the win now mentality that is forced on coaches? If they do not win in a few seasons they are out the door so they in turn do not take the time to develop a Qb like you should. Any other reasons anyone can think of as to why the level of QB play in the NFl is in a valley, and should this concern us at all about Trent?
  9. There is also a report that speculates that the Browns may dangle a linbacker like Andra Davis for Ashton. I will admit Davis had a bad year last year with only 64 tackles but the two previous years he was over 100 tackles each year. If their is any truth to this speculation he would be outstanding depth in an already deep linbacking corp and the Bills would be foolish to not pull the trigger on such a deal.
  10. I only moved here in the first place because I came out of Niagara University and couldnt find a teaching job in WNY. Also my wife got into a grad school in Baltimore. My advice to anyone even thinking about visiting is to stay in the tourist spots like the harbor. Those areas are pretty nice (but overpriced) But other than that I wouldnt feel safe anywhere inside the beltway. Baltimore County does have a little apeal though, the Towson area isnt as bad. But to try and bring this back to the original posting... the writer in Baltimore should stick to trying to gain awarness for the problems in his own city before he decides to take the liberty to talk about another one.
  11. Hey I was born and raised in the B-Lo and have now lived in Baltimore for the past two years teaching in a city high school. I am currently getting ready to move because this place isnt safe for robocop to walk the streets by himself. Plus I have never in my life found a larger group of bandwagon fans in my life. I guess that comes from not having a team for such a long period of time. Everyone around here including writers before the draft said that the drat would be a bust if they did not get Matt Ryan but now they write about how Flacco is going to be the next Jonny U. Plus they love to argue that the U does not pump out moron thugs (since they have so many on the roster) and that Willis is an intelligent family man! In conclusion please dont give a flying blank about anything a Baltimoron sportswriter says (regardless of the intention) cause they are all bandwagon grade A idiots.
