  1. And what makes a system? Why does everyone say that Brady is a product of the system and never bring that accusation out on Manning? How do we know that if we plugged Matt Cassel into the Colts a couple years ago with "Their System" that he wouldnt put up numbers? Every good QB has a good "system". Joe Montana had a good system, and so did Steve Young. Did Youngs sucess mean Montana isnt as good?
  2. I gotta agree with Ray here. I hate the Pats as much as the next Bills fan and I think that Peyton Manning is an amazing, hall of fame, top 5 QB ever BUT.... Tom Brady is the best of this generation and if he is able to return to form from the knee injury he may be the best ever. Peyton may hve all the records in the end but that doesnt mean much just ask Dan Marino. Also who is to say that Brady does not break alot of Peytons records? In his first year with a talented recieving corp he threw a record 50TD! Thats a number that is incomprehensible. Come talk to me about Peyton when he gets ring number 2 and 3.
  3. Mike Shanahan was just fired....... How many back to back superbowl titles did Jauron have?
  4. Obviously this is only if Jauron is let go .... which I pray he is..... but would we be ok with a complete system overhaul? Rex Ryan would most likley bring in his hybrid 3-4 defensive system so we would need to start making complete changes with certain players. He also seems like the tough hardnosed coach that will hold players accountable for the bad play that Dick does not. He may also be able to help solve out problem against 3-4 defenses since he runs one. Lets rememebr that the Bills D was at its best running the Wade Phillips 3-4 D. When executed correctly it is a much better D than the 4-3. The 4-3 is just easier to staff. My idea is to get this guy on board as the coach and then throw a bunch of money at a guy like Terell Suggs. Hes a hybrid DE/LB that is an instant upgrade to our passrush and is a matchup nightmare for offenses since you can move him all over the place. If you get Ryan in as coach then I think you may have a legitamite chance at signing this guy but without Ryan I see no real reason he would ever choose Buffalo. Then I would go ahead and use one of my first 2 picks to take another ILB to pair with Poz or make a trade with Dallas for a guy like Bobby Carpentar who was a 1st round pick but has not been able to get in the lioneup with all the veteran LBs in Dallas. The LB corp would then be : Mitchel Carpentar Poz Suggs Also I think guys like Kelsey and Denney are better suited for a 3-4 since they are not pure pass rushers, hell a guy like Spencer Johnson may be better suited as a 3-4 end since there primary responsibility is the run...... Anyone else have thoughts on my ideas?
  5. Hey guys I live down here in Atlanta and the local radio show just had Keith Brooking on. He said that its so nice to be on a team now that is not in chaos like it was last year and that last week when they faced the raiders he was reminded of that chaos when a former teammate from last year was waiting in the tunnel at halftime to try and fight one of the Falcons..... The only former teammate from last year would be Mr. Hall. In short hes a hothead cancer in the lockeroom and even at vet min I wouldnt touch that guy with a 12 foot pole
  6. Man do people jump off the bandwagon quick here........ Have the Bills played poorly over the past couple of weeks? Yes. But lets not go nuts here guys. Juron is the right coach for this team. His players play hard for him, hes level headed and need we forget who we had at the helm before he arrived. The fact is that Peters screwed this offensive live from day number one by not showing up to camp. I blame him for the running games woes just as much as I do coaching. Lynch does need to stop dancing so much and hit the hole but I'm not even willing to kill him because he only a second year guy! This is a very young team that overachieved early on and is going through one of the rough spots that a team of average talent level goes through. We are not talented enought yet to overcome tons of mistakes, but we are young enough to learn from them and get better as we add the talent. I thijnk Juron sees the long term potentiol of this team and does not want to overreact here like some people want him too. I still beleve that this is a team that makes the playoffs and when that happens people will be jumping on the Dick bandwagon (that sounded wrong). But those overeacting fans (you know who you are) who thought after the 4-0 start that this was a championship contender were way out to lunch. We have the young core to build a competitive team for years to come.... our QB is in year 2, our rb is in yr 2, out wr corp is locked up and impoving, and our D though still with issues is leaps and bounds better than last year. So please guys stop with the overactions here.
  7. 25!!!!!! My God we need to draft an replacment this year.
  8. How did we go from thining on this board that we were real deep at DB with McKelvin and Reggie Corner as depth to all of a sudden haveing to use a banged up McGee and place Whitner at nickel? Has Reggie and Leodis looked that bad in practice? Are we that screwed with Youboty out and McGee not 100% that we need to play the most vanillia defense ever?
  9. When it comes to the wildcat offense I have been under the belief that it will work until just one team finds a way to stop it. Once a team stops it every team will copy that design and it will be gone. Well thank you Baltimore for being the first. Buffalo were prolly watching film of the Ravens D all week and even though they do not play the same system they will do all of the little things that Baltimroe did to keep Ronnie and Ricky in check. We will be fine in this one guys. I have learned enough about this team in 6 games to say that this one will be a one sided affair with the Bills comming out on top by at least 14.
  10. This may be the most pointless thread of all time
  11. the changes were made during the game because they used Witner at nickel back a little too. I think they are starting to realize that we need to have Witner on the field in more of a playmaking role. The consequense of this is that Ko is not a SS so he must have to drop back in the depth chart...... nothing to back this up with jsut my thoughts
  12. So obviously he was looking to get on the Giants and how to Ray Bourque himself to a title instead of be willing to help a younger up and comming team get to the playoffs.......... fact is he wanted a free ride, he didnt want to work for it.
  13. As per Rotoworld Kellen Winslow Jr. is questionable for this weeks game because he has been hospitalized with.................... swollen testicals! So my question... is this the funniest injury of all time?
  14. Isnt the bigger issue when it comes to the hit the fact that Wilson led with his head down using it as a spear? Thats what made me question the hit. I'm all for letting QBs get hit since this isnt a pansy game. But the rules latly have fined and suspended players for much less against star qbs. I guess what constitutes an illegal hit depends on how valuable that player is to the league. I say he gets fined just because they dont want to send the message to the rest of the league that hits like this where u lead with ur head and drive the qb to the ground are ok.
  15. Part of the beauty in being a Bills fan is knowing that you are a part of the fanbase for the leagues corniest team.... but that ok! I for one am damn proud that I grew up wearing Zubas, listening to Bills Boogy and singing the shout song. Is the song corny as all hell?... yes.... but shall never ever be replaced!
  16. Correct "pea sized rain" with "pea sized brain".
  17. Problem was that Willis was a moron who needed to be in a town that had a great nightlife to entertain his pea sized rain where Lynch seems liek such a fun and happy guy that he could fina a way to have a good time hanging out with Al Gore.
  18. The Cinncinnatti Bengals the only team in the nfl that wears orange suits with black numbers on and off the field.
  19. The Raiders are not bright enough to be acting...... they are a disgrace to the NFL and should be moved to LA...... and then back to Oakland........ then back to LA....... the Oakland........ then LA....... you get my point
  20. Football doesnt do rental players like they do in the NHL. Holt is most likly going to be let go in the offseason for the pure fact that this team will have to gut the roster and rebuld and anyone on the plus side of 30 (or close to it) will be tossed aside. Holt will be a Panther next year. He has already come out and said he would like to play there. Heres the link http://bleacherreport.com/articles/24180-t...ing-to-st-louis
  21. Gotta disagree with a lot of ur top ten Mine would go 1. Tom Brady (even though hes hurt hes still the best in the business) 2. Peyton Manning (Are we really demoting this guy 3 weeks into the year?) 3. Donovan McNabb (when hes healthy, and he is now there arent much better) 4. Big Ben (a bad line will get him pounded this year but hes a grade A QB) 5. Drew Brees 6. Jay Cutler (the smitch has been flipped with this guys) 7. Eli Manning 8. Phillip Rivers (even though I hate this guy hes playing at a real high level) 9. Carson Palmer (he hasnt played well in nearly a full season now) 10 Brett Favre (ESPN would have you believe that last year was the only season of Bretts career and that the three seasons before that one where he sucked didnt exist) So no I dont put Trent here yet but hes very capable of passing Favre and Palmer thsi year. He would need to do it for longer to move much furthur up the ladder.
  22. Not to change topics but What have we thought of Ko Simpson so far this year? My opinion is that hes been ok.... but just ok... gonna need better from him when the games get bigger.
  23. Division Winners: Buffalo 11-5 Pittsburgh 11-5 Indy 11-5 San Diego 10-6 WildCard New England 10-6 Denver 10-6
  24. If anyone has played the Madden video game series as long as I have you have come to one conclusion...... No matter how bad they are in real life the Raiders are always a powerhouse in Madden. That was John Maddens team so im sure something was done to make sure they were always good.....in the 08 version of the game my buddy would play as Oakland and torch me with freaking Johnny Lee Higgins yes I could stop Randy Moss and TO....
