  1. By transitioning him, they can only get right of first refusal. It's either (unlikely) franchise him or (likely) let him walk.
  2. Taking out Evans is crazy talk. But again, I'd prefer a bigger WR starting opposite Evans and Reed in the slot, for the base offense, with Lynch or Jackson at RB and Fine at TE (K-gun, baby!). Reed is a great outlet receiver while Johnson could take away coverage from Evans. Assuming Johnson continues to progress.
  3. The third WR can be a starting position. I'd rather have Evans, Johnson, and Reed at WR, with Lynch or Jackson at RB, and Fine at TE. And Reed's contract is up after next year.
  4. Not taking out, just putting Reed in the slot and having Johnson start opposite Evans.
  5. He's 6'2", which is a giant among the WR's not named Hardy.
  6. The Pats won't be able to trade Brady because of his pricetag (salary plus 1st round pick), because he's coming off a complicated surgery, and if they're trying to trade him, obviously there must be something wrong with him. If they franchise Cassel, no one is going to give him franchise-type money (which is what his agent will demand), much less trade a 1st rounder. He's not a top-10 QB, much less a top-5 QB.
  7. Can't fault them for Corner, but McKelvin should have been playing earlier, like starting against Miami, and they've been slow to get other guys in, as has been mentioned (and is one of the reason I want them gone). Next year the Bills will have McGee, McKelvin, Corner, Youboty, and Fox, with Greer getting too much on the FA market. I can more than live with that.
  8. Fine could fit the Bill. Maybe bulk-up Hardy and try him there?
  9. It was a hometown call.
  10. Not exactly. If the Jets win, the Pats win the division. If the Dols win, they win the division. I'd say this is the likliest outcome. This is correct. Forget these last 2 because the Ravens won't lose to the Jags.
  11. Maybe Steve Johnson over Hardy. But not Corner over McKelvin.
  12. It will be tough, coming off an ACL injury.
  13. NFL.com said that Poz INT'd it.
  14. Jets' season over. Thanks jerkwads, now I have to root for Miami!
  15. Hopefully they'll offer him a long-term contract, and if he doesn't accept, tender him at the minimum and be able to match any offers he gets.
  16. Friggin' Jets losing to the Seahags 3-7.
  17. Can they do it before halftime? That is, score a FG?
  18. A concussion of the "other" head.
  19. With the death of Ted Rogers, the economy, the Jags and Saints out there, and few viable NFL cities left, the Bills leaving Buffalo is less of a concern than ever. Considering that it costs an owner $300M to move his team (NFL relocation fee), the Bills' owner would demand at least that much from a new city. And since there are no cities with NFL-caliber stadiums (the LA Coliseum is the closest, but that's a hole), the owner would probably also demand a new stadium. It won't happen. Oh, "you" made Ralph and his family set for generations? Not. More like the big market teams and Wellington Mara made Ralph and his family set for generations by agreeing on revenue sharing, the majority of which is pulled in by those big market teams. And Ralph could have made his family even MORE set by moving to any of the expansion cities over the past 2 decades.
  20. Regarding flexibility, you need a trade partner. You can't make-up trade scenarios in a vacuum. McKelvin was an excellent pick at 11th overall, considering you had a DB targeted in the 1st round (albeit after a trade down), McKelvin leads the NFL in return yardage and soon will lead in return average, and has shown great potential as a DB. Keller and Carlson would have been huge reaches, albeit it they would have been nice additions in the 2nd round. Kelly had major character issues as well, to go along with major physical questions. So far Hardy has been a model citizen (and you're about to be down $100 ) and Kelly is proving to be what he was looking like pre-draft: a bust. And Limas Sweed, the other guy who was highly sought-after by Bills fans, has also not done much.
  21. Well, Carlson was taken before the Bills' 2nd round selection, and Kelly has been even worse than Hardy.
  22. Why don't you stop watching them and stop bitching about them?
  23. Making the playoffs. And then making them again. Not almost making them and having a poor season the following one. Hence the "talk to me next year" comment and referencing the Dols' 2005-2006 seasons.
