  1. [Starting a new topic here] Most of you don't know njsue, but she was a regular here back between 2001 and 2005, as well as attending many tailgates. She recently passed away at the age of 59. https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/susan-crowley-obituary?pid=192902413 njsue was a quirky person, but she truly loved her Buffalo Bills like no other. She was sweet and kind and fanatical about her Bills. Her quirkiness was a bit of a lightning rod in various communities, ours included, and she is probably best known for her infamous thread asking a homework question here on the Wall. While many pushed back on her request for assistance, I think njsue just loved the community and her Bills brothers and sisters. She saw the great people here as a resource and so her questions to us came as natural as asking any family member for assistance. It's been almost 14 years since she last visited, but many old-timers kept in touch with her via Facebook and she is certainly one of the more memorable posters we have ever had. 59 years is a life too short, but I can tell you for sure - she is pissing off a lot of Dolphin fans up there right now. ? God bless and rest in peace njsue...
  2. Is there a GoT forum for pimply faced teenagers you can add your juvenile comments to?
  3. The prisoner of war should have had final say on his punishment? Got it.
  4. So, the writers are crap, but you loved the first 5-6 seasons? Got it. Martin had years to flesh out HIS story. He didn't. The blame lies with him.
  5. As I said somewhere, to someone, earlier - D&D are not Martin. It's not their story and I don't blame them for not being as good as Martin in telling HIS story. People maybe be angry at them or HBO, but in the end - Martin failed to finish his own story. He's to blame if people are disappointed in the last few seasons.
  6. This is why I don't allow fundraising without my consent in our community.
  7. Shouldn’t you blame Martin for this? Afterall, it seems you are asking the showrunners to be as skilled as telling the story as Martin. They are wrapping things sooner than would be ideal, but maybe these people want to get on with their lives. If they made four more episodes, we would probably have had to wait another 5 months to even begin the season. 8 or 9 months if you wanted 10 from season 7.
  8. Well, thumbs up for any Foo Fighters reference. I'm just going to explicitly point out to those grumping... you aren't the target audience here.
  9. I was thinking it was reminiscent of the cathedral/church thing that she had destroyed with all her enemies inside many seasons ago.
  10. Awesome. We don’t have to read the constant whining anymore.
  11. We played co-ed badminton in gym class in the 80's. There was a grandma type gym teacher for the girls... short stone gray hair, probably in her 50's and she would kick the living snot out of any male athlete that challenged her. It was insane watching her stand there like a statue making everyone run, dart, and dive all over the floor.
  12. I have more youth soccer stories than you can shake a stick at. I have been heavily involved with my kids careers the last 12 years from rec to the highest travel level. The two people you reference in your story know absolutely nothing about youth development. At that young age it’s all about early birthdays and early bloomers. I can tell you once they get to be around age 14 to 15 the talent range compresses significantly. The late bloomers eventually figure it out and the early bloomers were never truly anything special other than being older and well an early bloomer.
  13. There's a cargo shorts/Nike air monarch convention at the Bass Pro Shop just out of town. Might be of interest to you.
  14. Because this isn't an episode of 24 Hours.
  15. I was more referring to the blondes, but it is a universal truth.
  16. Apparently Episode 5 is titles “B itches Be Crazy”
  17. It is 2019. We can do without this.
  18. The reading is when they all find out so yes that’s when they all cheer. Nice comment: Zeddicus2 hours ago I thought it was fantastic, and it actually made sense! The Night King knew about Jon Snow and Danny, and had plans in place to neutralize them. He wasn't aware of Arya at all, so he never saw her coming until the last moment. Even then, he didn't know who she was or what her capabilities were. He got overconfident and that was the end of him. It was beautifully done!
  19. "Maisie Williams arrived at the table read for the final season of Game of Thrones not yet realizing that Arya Stark kills the Night King"
  20. There is a finite budget. If you don't want the big battle scenes, then sure - they could have done 10 episodes. It's a TV series.
  21. To add: Budget for these Season 8 episodes are rumored to be around $15M. Solo: A Star Wars Story cost over $250 million. So yeah, the dragon scenes may not have been Lord of the Rings quality... I hope people stop expecting them to be and appreciate what they are trying to do for a TV series.
