  1. Stroke Me by Billy Squier is also an anti-record company song that is misinterpreted.
  2. A one line description of what the topic is about.
  3. [This is an automated response] The topic title needs some TLC... It is too generic. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate. Thank you.
  4. I offer a toe-tapping pick me up and you counter with that? Ugh!
  5. complete with confederate flag imagery… How… Timely.
  6. I’m super lazy about that right now, especially when we don’t even know what the schedule would look like.
  7. I completely understand the desire to jump on the story, but that’s a pretty aggressive act in a place that should be well monitored. The facts will come out soon enough. The only thing we know for sure is that somebody stupid did some thing… well, stupid.
  8. I am not going to derail this, but that is an interesting story with a mixed history.
  9. I’m going to argue with the wording of the title. It’s one thing to say a song would not fly, but the implication is that songwriters still want to write about those things. I would suggest that in 2020 most artists would never write many of these songs in the first place. At the very least, public consumption of many of these songs would be greatly reduced making them unpublishable. I’ll add Gary Puckett “Young Girl” to the mix… While all those ***** bags like Jeffrey Epstein may enjoy the sentiment, there is no longer a mass audience for that song in 2020.
  10. Details have not been released, but it sounds like this was a team garage, not a residential one. I don't know where such garages are located.
  11. It would make sense to let any investigation play out before passing judgment.
  12. Blocked.
  13. After 17 years, I hope you got your membership money's worth.
  14. I have one kid who couldn't care less about professional sports and one who will go to Ravens games. I don't sense a strong bond between younger fans and the game.
  15. far too many people were willing to substitute their own misrepresentations for the explanations of the people involved, their change of behavior and why those changes occurred.
  16. it never was to them. It was a false narrative that disregarded the facts and explanations of the situation.
  17. It is not your protest and the protest is not arranged around your comfort or your hard day.
  18. With that said, the optics are bad and that will be fixed. Thanks for the head's up about a potential misinterpretation.
  19. During the 3rd week in September, there were 20,000 football posts that week. There were 2000 PPP posts.
  20. Full stop. You don't know what you are talking about. I ROUTINELY move topics into the archive many times per year. There are 5 Million posts in there.
  21. This completely false and it isn't even close. Why would you say that? This board gets 7x the posting traffic over the course of a year and up to 10x during the season. This month is a little different for obvious reasons.
  22. it is optional for my highschooler, but it is said every day by those who wish to recite it.
  23. there is a chart right below the bias line that indicates the veracity of the source in question. In this case, Slate is rated High. By contrast, if you look at the report regarding Fox News it says it has a right bias, but the factual reporting is two levels lower at Mixed. I think both measures are probably important.
