Bills are Fool's Gold: Intentions Versus Results
SCBills replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
Funny thing is, a lot of people here predict we’ll lose in the Div Round.. If we’re a WC, unless Pittsburgh holds onto the Division, Jax takes the South or we play NE, winning the WC Round likely means beating one of Denver, Indy, Houston (dark horse) or Baltimore on the road. If we win that game, on the road, I’d think we’re going to the Super Bowl tbh. Would mean we beat an elite defense or elite run game on the road. Two things that give us issues and we’ve never won a road playoff game with this group. The way this year is set up, our WC game could very well be a tougher matchup than the Divisional Round. -
The Bills will finish ranked about #10. That's good draft position and waiver wire select order.

You can amplify anything you want pork chop. I’ve already worked out for an hour and a half with my daughter. Came home and made the kids breakfast. I’m taking a break from setting up Christmas stuff because that ***** is going on tonight. Later we’re without the kids so my wife and I will go out to a nice dinner, and I’ll do stuff to her face when I get home. You’ll still be here…being you. Probably eating. Learn from me and your last few year may be enjoyable.

Holiday Travel is Here: Dress To Be Herded Like Cattle
ExiledInIllinois replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall
Yeah... And train travel has been wiped off the geography of N.America... Practically wiped off. Going west this past month... Had open seat between wife & myself. Coming back full, crammed like sardines... They want respect, at least give a seat the form factor of a car ride, can't? Bring back trains or other communal travel. Roads aren't cutting it either. Anyway, it's all about the social hierarchy. Bus travel in the air. Just deal with the hoi polloi, unwashed masses, can't convert them. -
Over/Under on Myles Garrett sacks in that game...4.5 I'm taking the over

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
Simon replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
The safety had it read the whole way, Palmer recognized that and adjusted the route upfield because it was going to be broken up if he stays flat. Unfortunately Allen had to get rid of the ball before he wanted to because Edwards screwed up at the snap and chased a zone dawg across the LOS for no reason. If he just drops into passpro like he's supposed to, he easily picks up the twist that created the pressure that forced Allen to throw the ball before the read/route was complete. If Edwards just does his job instead of chasing ghosts, that's a TD to Palmer (that gets called back on the OPI). -
Denver has allowed just 12 QB sacks on the season. They do have three studs on the O-Line in Bolles, Meinerz, and McGlinchey. For reference Josh is up to 28 sacks.

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
colin replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dunno if it palmer or Allen's error there, it wouldn't have mattered a the gave Davis collision either way (well, we'd get a other shot at least). It felt like we had the game about to won when Gabe cought the dime to the right side, but then he could get his other foot down because he was reaching with his arm to brace his fall, I think that's from being out of football for the better part of a year and being called on to catch a ball in a high leverage situation vs the best d in the NFL. If waddle really was available for a 2026 1st making that trade may well have saved us our last two losses. He hurt us in Miami, and I'm sure he woulda helped us. Also, I think we get another 7 vs Houston if waddle was playing over shavers or Elijah. -
We had a dog maybe 40 years ago that was getting thinner above the diaphragm and fatter below. We knew it 19 rather had awas time and when we took him in, an x-ray showed his abdomen was filled with fluid. My brother had a 19 year old sheltie that was slowing down. One day, we noticed the floor he as laying on and his fur all over was drenched with sweat. It wasn't urine and dogs only sweat through through their paws, so we knew it was the end.

There's a saying for this situation: "It's better to do it a day too early, than a day too late." It was a Quality of Life decision. In his ending days, my boy had a low quality of live. I had to carry him around the house and to the yard to poop. I decided to put him down. We had a blizzard, as soon as the driving ban was lifted I took him in. I had to carry him into the procedure. It was obviously time. May God's grace be with both of you.

This, for me, is it. The Bills staff looks at the year end stats and late playoff close loss. And think we’re close, let’s just keep things as is and we’ll get over the hump. But the league has caught up and figured them out. Add to it, older players that get injured every game and you have the 2025 Bills. I have every bit of confidence that they’re gonna pulled out more wins than losses and make the playoffs. I also have every bit of confidence that they’ll get beat, most likely, in the divisional round. The only think I’m not sure of….will Pegula say I want a SuperBowl and make changes to reflect that. NFL history is replete with great teams and coaches that were really good and always competitive, but got complacent and never reached their full potential. Unfortunately, if there aren’t significant coaching changes this offseason…that will be the fate of this team that we’ll all just need to accept. We had fun cheering for this team during the drought, I’ll have fun cheering for them during whatever this losing era will be called. It’s the Bills. We don’t get to win it all. That’s what I’ve long since known and finally resigned myself to accept once again. Josh is a unicorn but even he can’t overcome the curse upon this franchise. Go Bills!

Go figure. Get sacked 8 times = a lot of negative yardage.

Coach Tuesday started following Mind Blowing Stat of the Day

Allen was running around and backwards like a rookie. I am not putting most of it on him but, why would he think he’s going to be able to turn his back to Anderson and Hunter and spin away from those guys? I thought he’d at least figure it out by halftime but he kept doing it!

Who exactly do you think is telling you the "Truth" at this point? CEOs? The news media? The people who told you Biden was mentally fine and fit for office? We're at a critical inflection point in history, or at least the history of this nation. (note what I said about Trump being "asked to run.") What's going on is strategic, not meant to inform or persuade you of anything in particular. The public is not part of the "need to know," and you won't know if you just accept news media information as presented instead of doing your own research. (Case in point: majority of the country running out to get Covid vaccinations) It didn't take much patience or research to quickly find out what a bad idea that was.

Consider me like a parent and you’re the child. I’m see you sit inside on devices all day because you have no friends and no real interests. I’m pushing you to expand and explore so the other kids don’t get think you’re a weirdo. And that quote is weak. You responded to me first chubby. If you can’t take the heat! Now…go outside!

I watched a 10-6 Giants team that squeaked into the playoffs beat an undefeated Patriots team in the SB on a last minute game winning drive. Does that help?

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
DapperCam replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watch Palmer on the route, he's running across the field and looks like he's going to cut under the Safety. Allen throws the ball to exactly where Palmer is going to be and Palmer stops running his route. It's impossible to know what Palmer's route is supposed to be (I guess maybe he was supposed to cut over the Safety in the end zone which makes no sense), but considering Allen threw it right where he was running I have to imagine it was there. EDIT: If you go to 8:47 in this video they show the All-22 replay repeatedly. Palmer looks surprised the ball is coming his way. -
I mentioned this in a prior post but can’t get over the incredulous nature of this stat. In the entire 17 game 2024 season, Bills QB’s lost a total of 68 yards resulting from sacks. Thursday night we lost 70 yards from sacks, more in a single game than the entire 2024 season. Just mind-blowing.

Comebackkid started following Is it McDermott or Brady?
-
In the very beginning McDermott said he and Beane would both answer to pegula seperately. I know McDermott brought in Beane but for the most part I dont think that McDermott is controlling who Beane drafts. Its not his job to micro manage every body on that team. Beane was hired as a General Manager and its his job to do that, and regardless of who initially hired him he is still fullfilling the guidelines of that position. I'm sure Mcdermott would love another Luke Kuechly. But i do agree that here is a similair mindset in the type of players they are drafting. Its hard to judge Mcdermotts defense with the players he has because when he had better players it was a great D. outside of playoffs and a lot of times that was due to injuries..(not all). The biggest downfall I find with Mcdermott is he initially brought in beane and he hired both Brady and the wierdo before him. In my mind Beane has been is biggest undoing. part of that may be horrible luck on Beanes part that no matter who he brings in they get injured. On the D side part of that is his fault expecting smaller players to hold up all season long. I think if Mcdermott was gone the biggest thing i would miss is the cohesion of the players.. and we dont really get the whole getto gangsta players. but i would like to see players with more of an edge to them sooo....
