I felt they let Martin go and brought Haack back because of holding for Bass. So my guess is Haack is brought back, unless they think the rookie has it figured out with Bass.

I quoted an article earlier on the injury thing. It confirms higher injury rate in older players but that they seem more prone to muscle injuries, while less prone to ligaments tears.

I’m in the minority on Rogers. Never thought he was as great as so many others. I don’t see a 40 year old QB coming back from an Achilles and playing at a high level. Also, does Joe Douglas get blamed for signing an older player in Rogers who then got injured? If Beane keeps getting blamed for Von Miller seems only fair.

Beane is supposed to be Nostradamus then and should have foreseen the ACL tear. If I follow your logic correctly any contract where a player gets hurt is a mistake made by the GM. Is every contract where a guy gets a serious injury the fault of a GM?

Yes. Because you don’t get back to full speed in a year after an ACL. Von tried last year but it was obvious to anyone watching he wasn’t close to normal.
