Looking for good food, not too expensive, but not diner food. Something that won't go freaky on the expense report, but somewhere I can eat well and have a nice drink or two. There is a row of 5 or 6 restaurants that provide service right on the street. It is very cool, also like a desert oasis in the middle of the city. Very busy during happy hour, but the prices are right... It is also restaurant week in NYC... Pre Fixe dinners $35. You could try a really nice place for little cost. Very busy during happy hour, but the prices are right... That would be Stone Street, good recommendation for lunch. I enjoyed a meal there recently with a certain illustrious poster. My office is a block from the Seaport but most of the stuff there is medicore tourist fare. Unless you go over a couple blocks to Peck Slip which has a few good places. Wifey and I used to go all the time when we were dating and she lived near Columbus Circle. Awesome food and a couple of those margaritas and you are stumbling home!
