Yasin's BILLS

Recommended Posts

I am with ya buddy. To ealry to tell. And as far as Whittle, Preston, Fowler and Dockery go, must people on this board thought they stunk. Those guys are back ups except Dockery who is average. I am not concerned yet. Every year the Bills have signed one or two big names in the off season. And for all you pessimists where has that gotten the team? Mediocre? Right. So now you are upset they havent signed anyone yet. Time will tell everything. You want to be like Washington? They are the champs of FA. And what has it gotten them? Nothing. A few more playoff games then Buffalo in the last 10 years but nothing really solid. And you say spend the money? Why so you can look like Dan Snyder? A guy who throws money at problems instead of knowledge? Please. Thats whats wrong with our country as a whole. People think money can solve everything. His team stinks and will this year again.

Who exactly have the Dolphins brought in that scares you and that is a dominant player? The Jets signed a LB who is a nice player, but paid him 8M per year. Angelo Crowell has better stats per year in terms of tackles and sacks thean Scott.

People do need to relax....I realize it is the offseason and nothing else is going on but it is a long offseason filled with the draft and multiple other cuts of players over the next 6 months. Shows how irrational some fans really are if no "big" signings happen in the 1st 24 hours.

Only if the dinner is poisoned....it was an idiotic post

$49M to Derrick Dockery 2 years ago in addition to Langston Walker's $25M deal

Takeo Spikes, Sam Adams, London Fletcher, Trey Teague, Dave Moore, Mark Campbell, Jeff Posey, Troy Vincent, Chris Villarrial, Spencer Johnson, Kawika Mitchell.........all are players we've picked up early in free agency periods within the past 8 years.

People need to stop overreacting after free agency has only been open for a day and a half...sheesh!!

Yours is the idiotic post. You can list all those players, how many playoff games have any of them played in for Buffalo? I can tell you how many-idi"0"t.

I think the point to all of this remains that fans want a move to hang their proverbial hat on. And it's just not going to happen this year. The FA crop was pretty weak to begin with, and improving a team drastically through UFA is hard already. Spending money to appease fans isn't the right way to go about it.

OTOH, after falling to 2-8 down the stretch, retaining the lame duck HC, Lynch's legal problems, and dealing with the Peters holdout, Bills fans need something now. Buffalo has been rebuilding over the past 3 seasons and still hasn't had any success. Increasingly the team is viewed as a laughingstock around the league, especially when Jauron was kept around.

They're not going to sign a high priced FA just for the fans sake. At the same time, building through the draft is slow and in an era where patience is going out of style, isn't quick enough. Then again, Bills fans have already waited 9 seasons for success, doing nothing in UFA is pushing it for most of them.

Are you seriously favorably comparing Angelo Crowell to Bart Scott?

Just breath and relax people, it isn't the end of the world, it's the 1st day of free agency of the year. Not all the top players gonna sign away some where else, from us, they gotta explore to see where the right fit is, and closer to home, and money. Just like any other job, so relax and quit feeling like your gonna explode, just relax! there's 7 more months before the regular season starts,

Early bird gets the bigger warm.....We are never early and it shows in our record year after year after year..etc..etc..etc

You people are stupid.. you could never run a football team. 90% of these guys signed the first day are overpaid and will under perform.. while the Bills are being smart and choosing the players who will best fit what they want to do as a team. The Dockery release is and example of that. They want to get small and more athletic on the O-line and be able to get some push in the run game.. Fat 330 pounders is not going to do it.

It shouldn't have been a release, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A TRADE. People who inacurately report events shouldn't be calling another person stupid

Might wanna read your own post...while those players didn't deliver playoff games (thanks in part to coaching), the fact that we signed them early in free agency is proof that we tried to do something to deliver wins from a free agency standpoint. Oh, and the fact that you have to resort to name-calling (which is pure cowardice to do on a message board, anyway) just makes you wrong. Resorting to name-calling is something you do when you can't make a reasonable point with a level head.
It is not just the first day of free agency it is the about the 8th year in a row that we have taken a back seat to the franchises that do what they can to win and not just worry about the $$$ bottom line.
