And it hasn't been mentioned here, and really kind of only slightly covered in the press.

I am sure there was no violence, not because of the policies and military fight of the last 6 years but only because the Messiah is large and in charge.

And what happens when Iraq elects a guy who hates us, and who we hate? Will you be crowing about that too?

Then you wait a couple years til somebody new is elected, that's democracy in action, whereas a dictator you'd have to deal with for life.

Yeah, how's that working out in Gaza and Iran, as compared to Saudi Arabia or Egypt where the rulers are in for life.

Works out great here, imagine if you weren't able to vote Bush out?

Iran is as much a democracy as Iraq was under Saddam. If Gaza was two dictators there probably wouldn't be a Gaza right now.

Egypt has elections.

So does China, that doesn't mean it represents the will of the people. Mubarak has been ruler since 1981, in his fifth term after being reelected in a single candidate election, and opposition party leaders are harrassed and imprisoned. But in nations such as Egypt, Iraq, and Palestine, a strong national leader is sometimes preferable to keep the more radical elements in check that would undermine the relative peace between tribal and religious factions.

You're responding to the wrong person buddy.

Also, Iraq never had free elections. It was vote for Saddam, or we'll change your vote and kill you and your family.

Horray for Iraq....lets fix things here now....I hear the economy isn't so good.
