And I don't know why they hell they let Biden speak about this when he can't even count to four. Oh, and all candidates are tested, but Biden "guaranteed" the crisis. He guarantfreakinteed it to people who actually paid $1,000 a head to hear him tell them this. There's a difference between being tested, and KNOWING, WITHOUT QUESTION, that something is going to happen, but not tell people how to protect themselves. That's reckless and irresponsible. ok, I hear you on that and I've said before that is something stupid that the campaign does; sometimes use $250K and sometimes use $200K depending on the context. This campaign is very well run, from a "stay on message" standpoint, but this is an example where they could do a lot better. Anyone who has heard Joe Biden over the years knows he constantly says dumb stuff, and doesn't know when to shut up. That was wrong, and I'm sure he wishes he could take it back. Are you only voting for McCain because your taxes might go up a couple hundred bucks under Obama? Can you actually make a case for McCain without parroting a platform of fear? For me, I understand both sides, I just agree more with the 39% argument. Like a 55 for-45 against thing. Actually, his stump speech on the campaign trail does indeed end with a message to people to "live within your means" rather than "the government will take care of you as long as you vote me in again" mantra. Here'e what I want you to do next year. Don't have them take any taxes out of your income next year. I want you, on April 15th of 2010 to write a check for your taxes. Look at that check, admire it for it's size. That will put your taxes into perspective. Half of my income comes in the form of 1099 and I don't pay estimated taxes because I make more money in interest off that money than the "penalty" for not paying my estimated taxes. When you write a check for $20,000 to the US treasury it just boggles the mind and that's only on half my income, the other half is W-2 and I have them withhold 20% on that. I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination. I live in a modest home my wife drives a Scion and I bring my lunch to work every day. When you have to write a check of that size on top of what they've already taken out you just shake your head. What the hell to I get in return for all that money? And they want more. Third, he will have a stronger approach with international relations. I understand how much you and Obama don't like the world resenting us. I could give a rat's ass what the world thinks of us. We're fighting a war right now, and McCain will handle that A WHOLE lot better than Obama, who simply wants to tuck tail and run while he has tea and crumpets with the countries who have a problem with our way of life. To me, McCain = military strength, Obama = military pussssie, especially with the long list of cuts he proposes, INCLUDING the end of developing futuristic weapons. WTF? You think the rest of the !@#$ing world is going to stop just because Obama has asked them. He's so !@#$ing naive to the ways of the world that if the economy wasn't tanking right now he'd be sucking hind tit. That said, McCain has problems. He's not conservative enough for me. I think he's too quick to reach across the aisle. His $300 gzillion mortgage bailout plan pisses me off. He needs to start drilling big !@#$ing holes and finding the goddamn oil. And he needs to ensure that he truly cuts spending because while it sounds good to "shut down all spending," it's impossible to do, and we both know that. But we MUST cut spending, and I'd rather that be left in the hands of McCain than what will inevitably be the perfect shiitstorm of Obama-Pelosi-Reid, the latter two who are !@#$ing criminals that should be put in prison for the rest of their natural born lives. And just for the record, if Obama didn't have SO MANY questions about his history and integrity, people wouldn't spend so much time questioning it. Do and say anything you feel like, go anywhere you feel like, at any time for any reason. Where you live you can swim or ski on the same friggin' day if you wish. You're also male, upper middle class, healthy, happily married, white, educated, and living in a period of time that has the greatest innovation and opportunity in history. Those "just happened to be born withs" makes you in the upper 99.999 percentile in the entire history of the world on the "I'm a lucky bastard" list.
