It is called USA AID and the State Department combined with CDC and the Foreign Ag Service. You can deny it, but this is and has been under Republican watch.

I don't deny it. i just think it's wrong. Look, I don't hate Obama or McCain. I just don't believe Liberal democrates when they say they will lower taxes on the average person. You have to admit they do have a history of raising taxes. Do I think Obama is a radical muslim? Of course not! Do I think McCain is going to start wars? No!

I like to look at the past history of the candidates and make my decision based on there record. Obama has a history of raising taxes. In fact, when he ran for Senate, he ran on the bases he would LOWER taxes, when in fact, he voted to RAISE taxes over 90 times! Look it up. It's all out there.

Okay, how many times did he vote to lower taxes??? Probably on the same bill. This stat is disingenuous. I know the Republican P.R. machine has put this forward and the Dems have never handled it well.

P.S. How would you suggest paying for the largest increase in our debt, deficit and the Iraq war, let the masses pay for while we bail out Wall Street? Oh yeh, the Republican mantra "Deficits Don't Matter" lets just borrow and spend till we run this country into the ground. Correct me if I am wrong, but who passed the Legislation that got them unelected but managed to create surpluses during Clinton's Admin. Who managed to create smaller bureaucracies at the Federal Level...

Need a clue, not the Republicans. Clinton's White House Managed to Reduce the Department of Commerce and Agriculture by of 30,000 employees each, let alone what was done to Judiciary, HUD, Education, DOE and other areas of government.

Please, Republicans need to get honest with their uncontrolled borrow and spending habits.

Bush is not a conservitive. In fact I think he is the biggest liberal since Carter! I do not stand behind Bush. As far as reducing our debt? I would cut our gov't by 3/4. Stop rending billions to our "allies". Eliminate taxes on corp.(you can't get a job from a poor person), there will always be rich people in the USA.You don't penalize them for being rich. It's wrong and VERY unamerican. We also need to take a close look at entitlements. Give to who really needs it. Cut loose the cheats who are draining us dry.

Let me ask you a question, do you believe in personal responsiblity? I do. Spreading the wealth is not the American way.

I believe in personal responsibility, yes. But using tax policy to balance out, not penalize rich people, who because of their richness are able to concentrate wealth and take advantage of economies of scale that those of lesser means can only dream about, is a good thing.

It helps spread out wealth, provide for a freer market and a more vibrant economy. It is the difference between trickle down which has been proven not to work and a help up. The money still ends up back in rich peoples hands but it helps other obtain wealth. This is what was practiced under Clinton and we saw one of the greatest economic expansions in our country's history. So you tell me which works better????

I agree you can go too far with each deal and end hurting what you are trying to fix, everything in moderation, but we are far from that. When the rich pay far less than the marginal rate because of tax loopholes, do you think this a bad thing. Do you think the rich folks because of their privilege and ability pay more, or should the majority of the tax burden be stuck on the middle class as it currently is.

You know Yellow, you seem like a good hearted person. I respect you for that. Believe it or not, in my "younger" days, I to was a liberal. I believed in all you are saying. I guess, over the years I became cynical. There is no utopia. Everything cannot be equal. Do I believe everyone born in the USA have the same opportunities to be succesful? No.

I agree Pres. Bush trickle down theory is not working. But if you think taxing the hell out of them and giving to people who probably don't deserve to get it in the first place will stimulate the economy. it won't work. It will only create more lazy people in this country. I am sure you have heard of the saying " Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach him how to fish, he eats everyday" That is how this country should be. Teach, Teach and Teach! Not give, give and give.

Even though we do not see eye to eye, I appreciate the give and take. :wallbash:

I agree on most of what you say too, and I don't disagree with your analysis. I don't believe in taxing the hell out of people and with current payroll taxes, sales tax policies at all levels of gov't and state tax policies, along with loop holes at the federal level, the middle class is getting taxed the hell out of as you say and the poor and wealth are skating by. I just think the tax burden has shifted in a bad way. To pay for the war and deal with the short term economic downturn folks with money should pay a little more. Also, from simple indifference curves from econ 102, you get that the middle class doesn't have a choice but to be the small business creators and owners, why tax the hell of them like we are now???

McCain's answer is to give Cap Gains tax relief. In this economy, that and a quarter won't get me a cup of coffee. Give something I can chew on. Obama at least exempts small business and provides relief to middle class wage earners.

I think that you must strive for a balance, even if you never or it isn't even possible to achieve. Cynical I am too, that doesn't mean I give up.

I too appreciate the civil give and take too. :worthy:

I believe he did them. I know he did those things, I saw him do them.

The lie that you tell yourself is that they are a big deal and will affect his abilities as President.

It doesn't suprise me that Obama won't honor the Anthem. He hates this country and what it stands for, he sides with terrorist both foreign and domestic. He wants this country to breed mediocrety so that we will no longer be the Superpower we are. He wants us to be weak and ripe for the picking. So that every liberal cause has a chance and every country can get their hands in our pockets. He wants payback for 400 years of oppression.

Would it resemble anything like trying to hype up Bill Ayers and Rev Wright and Obama terrorist-ness as large as possible? Or trying your hardest to convince everyone that Obama is socialist?

Congrats man for showing you won't admit how blatantly hypocritical this is. And you think you are making a point somehow by people repeating truths as inconvenienced fabrications in a way that is supposed to take us away from the topic at hand.

Thats a little bit of revisionist history with respect to Clinton. The National Debt (the real number to be concerned with) leveled out during Clinton and did not rise, but he did not reduce it either.

Bush, on the other hand, is like a 16 year old girl with Daddy's credit card on her first trip to the mall with her friends.

The debt levelled...because the deficit dropped to zero. Two different things. You're both right.

So lets make sure I have the score card correct. Obama is a terrorist, communist, and baby killer. I didnt tune into Rush today so what new description do we have or do I just have to wait for u and da big man to parrot it.

Nice try , however you did not answer the question . Are you in favor if Communism? A yes or no answer will do. Or maybe you are ashamed to answer the question. Leave Obama out of it , this is directed toward you.
