I talked a bit about Ginn here a month or so back and quite a few Folks thought He was too smurf-like...

He's no smurf, and He's almost exactly Marvin Harrison's size...Ginn is dynamic, and even if it takes Him a bit to catch on at WR He's going to be a heck of a Return Specialist in the mean time...

In a semi-recent Interview (when asked about potential Needs) Marv was quick to mention another Top WR opposite Lee Evans was a definite possibility...JP loves the Deep Ball, and having Ginn and LE on the Field at the same time would certainly keep Defenses honest...

It will be interesting to see IF Ginn is still around at #12 Overall...But I imagine if He gets healthy enough to Run a Super Fast 40 in the coming Weeks His Stock will shoot up rapidly...

Being a Micigan fan, I obviously can't stand Ginn. But there's no denying he's gonna be a beast in the NFL. He's just completely on another level, runs by guys like they're not moving. Still, I want us to get a big WR in the draft, but wouldn't be completely shocked if Marv pulls another guy that we weren't expecting in the first round. Doubt he lasts to #12 to begin with though.

I know the Bills have needs, I know they need a big receiver for the red zone. I know. But watch the Youtube highlights. They could use a receiver. If you go best player available, biggest impact.....Maybe I'm high.

I'm a big Ohio State fan, but I've always laughed at people who projected him as anything more than a 3rd round pick. Very athletic, very fast, but very sloppy, and relies on his ability too much. WOn't work at the next level

what wont work on the next level? world class speed? incredible ball skills? improving talent? incredible st player? yes, that has no place in the nfl. if he is there at 12 they have to take a serious look at him.

OMG, thank you for sharing the highlight reel.

So, the big question is how...how do we convert this guy to a RB?

Or, maybe the bigger question is, do we need an RB with Lee and Ginn??

My favorite moment on the highlight reel is at 4:32, he has almost stopped, with 4 defenders in front of him and the rest bearing down on him from behind at full speed, and Ginn just explodes from 0 to 60 and leaves everyone behind.

I don't know what to make of him, but I have watched alot of football in my 39 years, and I have never seen so many huge plays from one guy. they just keep coming.

I think Tight End is a bigger need than Wide Reciever and sure don't want another player from the ohio state buckeyes, cant stand ohio state, but i do like whitner and youboty, but I hate ohio state. We haven't had a solid tight end since jay riemersma, Robert Royal didn't step it up till the last few games, and Kevin Everett is a bust.

The music was so annoying (especially toward the end) I had to watch it in little pieces. Terrific ST guy, that's for sure.

As Larry the Cable Guy points out, it's a HIGHLIGHT real, so we don't get to see any mistakes, drops, etc. With that said, very impressive.

I found an updated reel on the sidebar with an added 1:30 of Red Zone catches (and no annoying music).

(Of course, I don't know how to make a link.) the poster is "jimmyjoefro".

I don't post this to argue (those are my other posts  ), I just want people to see these plays. He is incredible

You don't.

You draft this guy.

Same kind of runs - but from a RB.

Ginn's highlight reel is about 80% kick returns.

He might not be the best wideout threat.

Peterson on the other hand is a legit threat, and at the moment RB is a bigger need than WR.

"...but why were his returns most of his highlights???"

Ginn has been double teamed since his freshman year because he has been making plays like that since his freshman year. Guys like Gonzalez are good but are less effective without Ginn on the field. When opponents doubled up on Gonzalez (BCS title game) like they did Ginn, Gonzo didn't do much. Just Ginn's being on the field makes the offense work better and the opposing defenses sweat bullets. There aren't as many receiving highlights because the Buckeyes were able to effectively mix their plays up with Pittman, Wells and Gonzalez, etc. Ginn helped make that possible simply being a decoy. The highlight reel doesn't show the receiving but he also stood out as a receiver. He stood out as a freshman.

However, I do have to wonder who will be the Bills starting running back. Ginn would make a very nice accessory but when the weather is bad and a short run is needed who will Losman be handing the ball to. I like A-Train but another running option could be effective. I believe the Bills brain trust realizes the running limitation so I wonder about further free agency and draft options.

I am hoping that the three additions to the offensive line solve some of the blocking issues but I am skeptical. I hear Raider fans expressing their doubts about Langston Walker. I haven't seen him play so I don't what he can do or not do. Anybody know anything about Walker?

Those aren't all of Ginn's touchdowns, just the spectacular ones. If Ginn isn't a "legit" threat I don't know what a threat is. The Peterson highlights are nice. I have seen other running back highlights through the years that were similar, an excellent back, but the sheer number of big plays by Ginn are unsurpassed. About 7 minutes worth of running and he gets tackled maybe 5 times.

I'm not posting to bicker, I know the Bills needs. But you can't knock Ginn's explosiveness. Peterson isn't even close.

Ginn ran a couple miles worth of football field without being touched.

I'm not being funny here....but.....if Ginn is as good as what is being put forward by some in this thread.....why is Calvin Johnson considered the sure fire best WR in this draft? Surely if Ginn is that good, Johnson must be the best ever.

Johnson might be the best ever

I don't think there is anyone that thinks that Ginn is a better receiver than Johnson. But I have never seen more BIG plays by anyone. Ginn is definitely better after the catch.

I still don't know what to make of him. I had heard his name, saw a few highlights etc,. then I just happened upon his highlight reel and can only say that I have never seen so many big plays, so many long runs that no one even touched a guy as he ran back and forth across the field etc. I felt compelled to mention him on the board and have people check him out.

Johnson has all makings of a great receiver, deep ball, possession, red zone, jump ball, he can do it all, outrageous hands. It's easy to point to him. Ginn is obviously more of a wildcard, that's why Johnson is seen as the best receiver. If I had to choose between the two, I would take Johnson, but I'm not certain I wouldn't end up regretting it.

Those kinds of plays just can't be ignored. I suggest you watch both players highlights on Youtube.

I don't expect the Bills to pick him, but I don't want him in the division, or even the AFC.

Not to crap on anyone's parade here but we already have a similar receiver. If we got him, I wouldn't cry about it tho but it's not gonna happen.

P.S., I guess nobody else but me notices those "grandmotherly" attempts at tackling there. At least 50% of those attempts were horrible or non existent. I am talking about 5 defenders surrounding him and couldn't bring him down cuz they were stupid.

I know my posts about this are getting out of hand. But I don't care. Just watch 'em

23 Plays

15 touchdowns from 50 to 100 yards (most about 80)

5 are Red Zone TD's

3 are amazing plays where he actually gets tackled

I just want to hear about another player in the modern history of the sport that has done things like that. Is there one I don't know about?
