I may do it once a week (even less now that we aren't playing for anything after wrapping up the best record in the NL). They get "out of dodge" with a split in the first two games and they got a great advantage. I also think the 2-3-2 format also tacitly favors the team without home field. Just my belief. In fact, I think they should shorten the entire season, so that the ALCS and NLCS begin in mid-September and the World Series begins on or about Oct. 1. I'm not a traditionalist in the sense I think more in teams in the playoffs is better for baseball, but let's be realistic. Baseball isn't decided in a few games, it's a marathon to prove who has the best team over the long haul. But, Bud Selig in his infinite wisdom says "hey, we only need a five game set in the first round." Want proof? Both the Braves and the Giants were knocked out in the first round last year.
