Anyone we beat is a bad team, right?

You only play 16 regular season games, and the goal is to win each one. Any win is a good win, regardless of who you played. Especially given the fact that this was JP's first start.

Bottom line...it's better to be 1-0 going into TB rather than 0-1.

Thats right. But truthfully we have what it takes to win against this Bucs team. We know what were getting from our D. Can the offense stay consistent over the course of 60 minutes? When things get sour, can JP hold up? Can the offensive line have the type of game they did yesterday throughout the season? Bottom line, were of to a 1-0 start and everything is looking good

The Bucs are a solid team for sure. It's a push as to who is the underdog here.

Even money on both teams for the win. But The Bills need to play their own game - stay with the programme and whatever the outcome, if we stick to our game it will be fine.

Anything can happen.

I aggree that on paper the game is closely matched. However, the game will not be played on paper but in their home stadium. Homefield advantage is a big problem for the Bills here, but it is one which I think/hope can be remedied by strong ST play.

I expect our D to certainly hold them down early as Caddy Williams like WM showed yesterday that his MO is to have little production early but he got the big play late as the unrelenting rushes wears the opposing D down, We will need to use the time to get a lead in other facets of the game.

I do not demand/expect JP to get this early lead from O production as though he played very well yesterday, the lousy third down conversation numbers and red zone production indicates to me that he played very well for a first time starter but he shouldn;t be counted upon yet to be a difference maker in the game.

Thus, I see a situation where if the Bills pull off the kick coverage they did yesterday and last year, where if the return game can put points on the board the way they did last year and/or the Lindell who shows up placekicking on Sunday is the same one who showed up yesterday we can secure a lead which allows the D and the O to fire off and be all they can be.

Forecast for Sunday at Tropicana Stadium:

Isolated T-Storms

High 92°F

Low 74°F

Precip: 30%

Heat will be a factor.

Ask the Broncos.

92!!! I guess the Devil Rays didn't pay their AC bill.

I wonder what the Sunday forecast is outside at Raymond James?

The Bucs got a good win off of an over rated Vikings team yesterday. I look at the Bucs, and the Bills are better across the board by position. I can understand that an away game is a big test, but I think the Bills should win this game.

Thinking back not so fondly to the last visit to tampa, hopefully this time there won't be any injuries.

Are they? I honestly haven't paid any attention to them. What did they do to improve? They were 5-11 last year in a weak NFC...

Houston was 7-9 last year and finished pretty strongly against Jax...

The Bucs 5-11 record last year definitely didnt reflect what a good team they have there. They had some injuries and a couple of really dumb plays that cost them games, but they have a very good team down there in Tampa Bay. I even had them storming the NFC playoffs this year in my predictions.

So this will be a VERY tough game. It'll be hot, at a home opener against one of the best Defenses in the league. Not to mention one of the best coaching staffs. JP will have his hands full, thats for sure...the INT that Antwan Peek drops would have been taken to the house if he dared to throw that at Derrick Brooks of the Bucs.

The Buc's O line will have a tough time against the Bill's D Line. Just like the Bill's O line will have a tough time against the Buc's D line. Special teams will probably tell the tale of this game.

The Buc's cover two defence will give JP some problems. The key to moving the ball against the Buc's will be running the ball right up the middle on the Buc's. Running outside wont get you anywhere with the speed of the LB for the Buc's. Short passes to our wide recievers will also be key.

I'll be at the game.

The game will be determined by our defense. Will we be able to outscore (yes, I mean outscore with turnovers... returns to red zone, etc) the Tampa defense. Tampa has a scoring defense just like we do. It will come down to turnovers.

If we commit no turnovers... WE WIN.

If we cause no turnovers, we LOSE.

I say we win, even without the homefield advantage. But it will be very close... ugly game.
