Eh, first round is the money round and sometimes you want a little time to make some phone calls and check on handshake trade deals with teams depending on how the board falls after the first couple of picks come off the board.

 

I think 5 minutes is too tight, especially in the first round where the moves you make are the most impactful, either good or bad.

Considering every team has “draft boards”, the time they should have to select a pick should be about the same amount of time it takes to consummate a trade. I actually think the Bills do much, much better with their late round picks because they have less time to think they are outsmarting everyone else.
