I dont take some "guy on YT who's an expert on pro stadium builds" worth a damn.  Say what you want but the Bills and NYS took a lot of care and professional trying to maximize the most cost effective/fan viewing/access venue.

 ok.

I’ll take a guy who is a professor in economics and has an impartial book detailing the economic impact of sports facilities and franchises published over a simple claim the stadium is “cost effective”.

Over 60% of the stadium is funded by the public.

On top of that, it was no coincidence this was immediately pushed through when Kathy Hochul become Governor of the state.

There is a significant trend in sports franchises not making the public front the majority of the cost. On average it’s around 30-35% publicly funded. Ours is the complete opposite. Around 60/40.

Furthermore MetLife stadium, UBS Arena and SoFi stadium were all entirely privately financed.

It can easily be done.

Especially for owners or groups who are already billionaires.

Cost of living has skyrocketed whilst the income doesn’t match. On top of insane price increases for most events the public/fans attend and they’re making money hand over fist. You then have all other revenue, TV deals etc

72k seats roughly

500 a seat (600 for a bench)

Roughly 32 million bucks for the Bills if all sold.

Erie County’s the primary beneficiary of the Highmark Stadium seats, net proceeds of their assets go to them. The Bills receive about half of the profits, some of it to supposedly pay for the new stadium.

Gotcha. Thanks. I'd love to have a seat people have barfed and farted on, but I live paycheck to paycheck.

It may be ridiculous to you but there will be plenty of people to ***** them at .  Pure simple/demand economics.

What is the plan for the old stadium, will we be able to visit if at all after the last game?

I doubt we will be able to visit. One would think dismantling would happen ASAP.  Preserving items for sale will take time, more so than just tearing down the building.

As for the seat cost, I had a knee jerk reaction to the price. I didn’t realize they were going to be put on pedestals. And to cut them so they look good will take time. Both of these add to that cost.  Still more than what I think they should be. Realistically, how much for a piece of team history…especially if they your actual seats. Be interesting what else they will sell and the pricing on those items.

I just paid for my seats and they were less than the price shown.  There is a discount automatically applied at checkout for season ticket holders.  My pair of bench style seats came to $519 with the pickup fee included.  $561 after tax.

Considering the work and material that is going into them, I believe they are priced fairly.  And will get use in my Bills camper.

For those seeking a cheaper stadium memento:

I remember one of the Home Opener tailgates, Hammer was giving pieces away that he pulled from the scrap/extra from the dumpster when they were installing it.

It's less than 50%. Current estimated cost is $2.1-2.2 Billion. NYS and Erie County are only putting in $850 Million. The Bills and NFL are paying the rest.

Lasts a lifetime and cheaper than getting a Tim Horton’s 5 days a week or a large 2 topping pizza twice a month for a year.(Domino’s and Little Caesars excluded)

Your wrote "pro stadium builds"..."worst he has ever seen".  Read to me you were addressing the physical stadium. Now you are talking about financing, maybe that is true if you are talking about financing which I as a NYS non-tax payer could care less about.
