If so, I think McD would like to have a look at you. Don't worry about your age, he won't. Quote

He went to his showroom and saw Bentley's and Lamborghini’s. The guy told him a lot of his clients were professional athletes (especially MLB) and rappers. He had some college players with NIL money, and he’s just started getting some high school kids who are cashing in. It’s a brave new world out there. Quote

Ah yes, the high schoolers are being rewarded as well. Part of me hates it, as these opportunities didnt exist when i played high school/college, the other part of me loves it as I know plenty who are being rewarded by their work ethic and dedication. I used to be one of those dudes saying they should just value the FREE EDUCATION they are getting in college. But alot of these kids have bigger dreams. Hats off to them. Quote

It seems you may not understand me. I don’t begrudge anyone the right to be compensated or the right to the same mobility their coaches have. They deserve that. I just don’t enjoy the resulting product nearly as much. That’s fine because we all have plenty of other things to do. I don’t mind it in the macro as much in college sports, but I used to like to know who was on my college basketball team. I used to be proud that we graduated them. Watch them develop. It’s a new pickup game with the best your money could buy each year, and I don’t know one guy’s name on my team, because I haven’t bothered to watch a game yet. I stopped caring. That can’t be good in the long run. . Edited 2 hours ago by Augie Quote

He has guided the team to 23 league championships during his 40+ year career." Quote

Also stating that a couple years ago I was against NIL and thought players should be grateful for the education. I have opened my eyes recently to a different opinion. If schools are fine with it and willing to pay. Its really no difference to professional sports now without a salary cap. Schools/teams with the most money, get the best players. Its up to the players to choose the money, national exposure, community, school pride, etc. Which I am totally fine with. Quote

Sorry if that came off wrong or unclear, but I’m just disappointed that something I used to enjoy so much has been corrupted (on a micro level) to something I don’t care for very much. Quote

No need for the apology! I totally get what your saying. I agree with the fact that I also dont enjoy college sports nearly as much as I used to. Go Bills! Quote
