Maybe I’m overtired or to fresh from the loss because right now I feel like I do after a playoff loss ending the season. It’s not like any of this was not already in my face but last night really hit hard. 1. No chance of winning a Super Bowl with this defense 2. No chance of winning a Super Bowl with this WR group 3. No chance this team wins 3 tough games in a row on the road to get to Super Bowl 7-4 absolutely this team to get in playoffs but the nail is in the coffin for the ultimate goal. They keep losing to bad teams and they can miss the playoffs too Quote

At least theres less pressure for them and maybe they can finally do soemthing I know its the day after a loss where they looked terrible, but you only need to catch fire in January. Stay the course, make adjustments, and try and find something by then. 1 Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Winning the division followed by an early exit does more harm to the organization long-term. It will fool ownership into thinking they are close. Everyone returns. More draft busts. Next season starts with a bunch of injuries on both sides of the ball. Rinse and repeat. Oh, and a first place schedule. If missing the postseason or flaming out as a road WC leads to changes, I will take it. Short-term pain for long-term gain. JoshAllin Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago As long as houstons D and the chiefs with their strong defense and O both get knocked out of playoffs spots, the bills can be seeded anywhere and make a run realistically Quote

Would rather play one of the other division winners in Round 1, and then if we won as the 6 or 7 seed, we’d likely then play whomever the 1 seed is. I honestly kinda would hope to get New England round 1 and then if we win that game, go to Denver with the Broncos as the 1 seed in round 2. The Broncos have a great defense but their offense is terrible. They beat the Jets 13-11 and the Raiders 10-7. Those would be the 2 matchups if I had to pick, that I would prefer Quote
Success Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Not that I'm completely giving up on the season - but I kind of am. We're not passing the eye test in any way right now. Get in the playoffs, and any team can go on a run. But we'd need so much luck, and we're not a good road team regardless. This seems to be more the Pats year. I don't think they're winning a SB, but it's their year to win the division and probably have a deeper run. I'm not okay w/ that, but I'm okay w/ it in the sense that they'll get the tougher schedule next year. IF we have a good offseason, can dump some cumbersome contracts, get a real #1 WR and make needed changes, we'll be in better position next year to grab a top seed. Big ifs, I know. Quote

Seeing as Josh does not yet possess a road win in the playoffs, this seems apropos. Why is the division out? Quote
