I feel like if we are going to give you the ball at the 35, and not let anyone touch anybody on defense, so you can throw 2 mid-range passes to get into range, then least we should do is not give the kickers a balloon they can kick 70 yards. Should it not be impossible to kick 70 yards FG? I find it hard to believe anyone is kicking the ball from the 90s that far. There was a change over the last year or two where instead of teams getting 3 K balls about 30-60 minutes prior to the game and having to work on them to get them ready during that short time, teams are now given 60 balls prior to the season so they have a LONG time to get the balls ready and prepared to be used in games. Essentially a special teams coordinator said it is like the difference between a baseball player having a new glove and only getting it a few minutes prior to having to use it to get it broken in versus having it for a month to get it ready to be used in a game... Essentially, they are able to get the balls in much better shape in terms of making it optimal to be kicked. Edited 1 hour ago by Big Turk Quote
