Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago So what’s the point? Fans should be worried about this and stop caring too? The fans know most owners have little or nothing to do with anything football related. They cut the checks. The GM and the HC make most all decisions that will directly affect the team and if they don’t win, usually they get fired. How many minutes of your life do you spend caring about what an owner thinks? As long as they aren’t selling the team, less is usually more Quote

While he will spend money to win, he doesn't seem to do whatever it takes either. A good example is the Sabres. A team that has lots of cap space but never spends it. As well as since COVID all the cuts he's done to the Sabres staff with cutting scouts. 1 Quote

It's why, for me, Tom Brady could never eclipse Joe Montana. Tom Brady was a great QB. Joe Montana was a folk hero of my childhood. I'm sure people older than me feel that way about a Rodger Staubach or a Terry Bradshaw. This is true as well, but social media definitely destroyed the “mystique” of sports superstars. Guys like Michael Jordan, Gretzky, Randy Johnson, Bruce Smith seemed bigger than life because we weren’t so over exposed to their personal lives and character flaws. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Here's a little known fact: most owners aren't experts in the sports they own teams in. So they may want to win but they wouldn't know how to go about it. 1 hour ago, Jrb1979 said: I agree with this take. While he will spend money to win, he doesn't seem to do whatever it takes either. Pegula is not the GM - how many times do you think he's told Adams not to spend money on so-and-so player ? He has spent to the cap with the Bills - not his job to field the team. Gotta hold Beane and Adams accountable. Quote
