Beat the Chiefs Sunday and I think you’re back in first

I see all the “experts” going on about how devastating it would be for either the Chiefs or Bills to lose on Sunday, but the flip side nobody is talking about;

 

Before kickoff on Sunday we’ll know the outcome of the Patriots/Falcons. Atlanta has a sneaky good D (2nd in the NFL in yards surrendered) and has an explosive offense at times. This is not a gimmie game for the Pats.

 

It would be rather funny to leapfrog the Pats on Sunday despite them having the head to head advantage at this point.

I did not watch the Dolphins/Falcons game.  What happened there?

Falcons are pretty banged up, and it's in New England.

 

I expect a few wheels to fall off of the imaginary Patriots resurgence - but my hunch is that they pull out a W on Sunday and the media continues the "they're back!" frenzy.

That’s only if the Pats lose and we win.  We’re actually behind if we don’t win.  The Pats even in this circumstance has the head to head on us.  We have to also beat the Pats in Foxborough.

The teams they've beaten.

 

We're their only good win, and that was a silly kind of game w/ the turnovers & penalties.  Any other ref crew & that's a Bills win (imo).

We have earned the right to not get over stressed about October games and October standings. We should try to go 1-0 this week but if we do we aren't a Super Bowl lock, and if we don't we aren't a bust. 6-2 is better than 5-3, but both are on track to play a really important game in January somewhere that we can worry more about the narrative and impact of the outcome.

I’m not sure we should use sos logic. NE is the only good team we’ve played and well you know.

 

I don’t think their resurgence is imaginary. But I’m with you in that they can, and will, lose more games. Bills will end up winning the division and they’ll be the wildcard.

They beat us at home in prime time. Their other wins were pretty good. Should they be 3.5-2 instead of 6-2?

The bills would tie them with the pats having the tie braker.

Pretty sure Mahomes lights up the Bills D this week. 

 

Hairston/Benford/Bosa would need to be excellent in man coverage / pass rush all game for that not to happen.
