The Ravens and Steelers haven't even played yet. The Ravens have only beaten the Steelers twice in a season once during the Lamar Jackson era, and that was his 2019 MVP season. Somehow, the Steelers find a way to beat the Ravens at least once a season even when they have Kenny Pickett and the Ravens have a healthy Lamar.

They were trash last year too, and still beat a healthy Baltimore team 18-16 in Pittsburgh. AFC North division games are a different animal. Even the Browns in their lowest years pull off upsets.

Browns beat the Ravens too last year on the strength of a crazy Jameis Winston game

Happens every year in that division. There is no way that the Ravens will beat the Browns again and beat Cincinnati and Pittsburgh twice. Ravens and Steelers play in Pittsburgh in week 18. Might be a HUGE game.

Barring something crazy,  playoffs look like

Indy, Buffalo, Denver, Pitt, SD, KC and NE.

A ton of football still left to be played though!

Jags have a fairly easy schedule the rest of the way. Won't be shocked if they get in as a wild card. Raiders, Titans x2, Jets, Arizona. Thats 9 wins right there. Houston, Chargers, Indy x 2 and Denver are the rest. If things fall right for them, can see them at 11 wins.

Ravens 2-5

Steelers 4-3

Ravens next 3 games:  Dolphins, Vikings, Browns.

Steelers next 3 games:  Colts, Chargers, Bengals.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see the Ravens at 5-5 tied with the Steelers at 5-5 by 10/16, barring Lamar having a contract related hamstring injury that lingers.

Baltimore will come back - NE still has to play in the conference...

Bengals, Ravens, and us.

The Ravens winning puts the patriots at 3 losses.

The Falcons will be a solid test for that offense and very well can match what the Patriots do on offense. I think the Falcons can win this; the Bucs has a solid team but slumping. The Patriots lose at least 1 to give them 4 losses.

The Bills beating them puts them at 5 losses, tied with the Patriots in this scenario.  The Patriots are not mature enough to win every game they're supposed to. The Ravens won't win out, either. I expect both could see 6 losses. For the Ravens that's disappointing and for the Patriots that is going to be successful.

For the Bills - losing to the Chiefs, Eagles, and maybe to the Texans puts the Bills at 5 losses tied with the Patriots provided the Bills beat them in the next game. If this look as bad as they have weeks 2-7 than we lose to the Bucs and maybe the Steelers , too - not to mention the Patriots possibly (again). That would give us 8 losses.

I've heard suspicions he's faking it but not that it's related to his contract. Isn't he locked in for ten years?

I think he’s made it known he wants that contract revisited.

Ah, the second-oldest motivation known to man. Thanks.

Hypothetical

Would you swap Harbaugh and McDermott?

Could McDermott get that team on track? Could Harbaugh?

I see a win/win. Harbaugh has discipline but not like Mcdermott. McDermott could round out some of the bottom of that roster to trim the fat that is likely there and get a process starting. Harbaugh here could light a fire under our ass because he's a new breath. Granted, he comes from a trash family and his brother is trailer park and ran from cheating in a subpar college to hide in the NFL and is finding success because he's always a mediocre guy because he's probably cheating there too... But this Harbaugh from Baltimore would likely have a little more success than McDermott but McDermott would have more success there.

Whyever would I trade a HC whose teams tend to outplay their talent level for a HC who has demonstrated that his teams have had less success with much more talent, especially in the playoffs?   People whine about McDermott "wasting" Josh Allen, but it was Harbaugh wasted the first five years or so of Lamar Jackson's career by keeping Greg Roman as his OC rather than insisting on developing Lamar as a better passer.  I don't know why Harbaugh's teams fail so often in clutch situations like the playoffs, but they do.  They seem to be teams that play well with leads but have no ability to overcome adversity.

Pass on both Harbaughs, but especially the one from Baltimore.

not so much an actual trade but a hypothetical of what happens if you swap coaches with the teams?
