Seems like you've been thinking about Epstein a lot lately, too.  And me.  When you're not being a Hilly Fan.  You're a weird guy.

Plot: lost

They have no principles.  Other than they're against the libs.  That's it.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Delete "exactly" and I agree.  They aren't conservative.  Tariffs, taxes, state ownership of tech companies, censorship of things that piss them off, not consistently law and order.  They're angry populists who, for the moment, lean right on social issues.  A lot of them easily could be Bernie Bros and lean left without really missing a beat on the economic issues.

Immigration/Border Policy and “woke” probably prevents 90% of them from ever being Bernie Bros.

Old Bernie, before he had to step in line for the DNC on those issues, yes.

While I’m not tuned into right wing media, I get that perspective here. If there is so much outrage over Trumps policy, I haven’t seen it expressed here on PPP. So what do you think about government taking ownership of businesses?

My understanding of the Intel arrangement is the government is receiving an equity stake in the company in exchange for financial and other assistance to ensure the ongoing ability of the firm to continue effectively operating. Much like another company or private equity would receive. As a minority shareholder, I don't envision the US government getting into the boardroom and dictating strategy or using its influence and power to elevate Intel to some dominant position in the market. I expect there would be objections, especially from the industry, if this arrangement was "controlling interest" rather than minority ownership. That would be equivalent to the topic title "seizing control of the means of production". This isn't that.

Truthfully I don't think most people really care about "woke."  It's the economy.  Someone who will make their lives better trumps whatever it is that "woke" entails.

Immigration/border becomes a non-issue the moment a Dem says we're not going to change the border policy, that we're going to expand the visa program to help ag and hospitality, and that we're shutting down Alligator Alcatraz.

You are an all-in fanboy of a party experiencing historic disapproval ratings. What makes you think you can speak for “most people”? Laughable.

I think you're right. Most people don't care about woke. That's why its so unpopular now. It was a construct of the intellectuals running and working in the university systems across the country. Academic environments insulated from the workings and functions of the "real" world. What happened is these academics gradually assumed control of the positions of power inside the democratic party causing their dogma to bleed out into the realm of reality where most of us work and live. Forced on businesses, government, and public affairs. They pretty much destroyed the traditional base and mission of the Dem party. Which gave rise to the Trump phenomena. Now its being pushed back where it came from, the academic fantasy world. If you don't like Trump blame the intellectuals running the party that created the conditions for his rise to power. And here we are.

Who said I spoke for them?  Only you, Hilly Fan. And you want to abolish the department of education.

Close. Trump is white so it's ok.

Interesting that Kamala campaigned on "Woke" instead of the economy.
