Honestly, never heard that as a winter getaway, but if it’s as nice as Alabama, I get it. The Red Neck Riviera is beautiful. 1 1 Quote

The Red Neck Riviera is beautiful. We're fans of the HGTV Show Hometown. So in 2023 we went to Laurel, Mississippi where the show is filmed for a vacation. We went back this year, and the town just fits us like your favorite pair of jeans. It's just so comfortable. We met many people that have been on the show. They are all so friendly. 2 Quote

We stopped in a few small places in Alabama before and after leaving the Gulf Shores. No lie, in the one place heard a red neck say to another in a hushed tone “damn bunch of liberals”. But that was about it. 2 Quote

We got more "did you find a church yet" than anything political. Quote

It has changed a lot on the last 25 years since I moved but some family I can't get to move. I lived on Hertel a couple houses down from the Garage for a few years. I absolutely loved the area. Only complaints I had was sometimes people would block part of my driveway but I could always get out but sometimes took some time with the traffic. Everything is near by. Wegmans, Tops, Dash’s, Target and a lot of other stores or restaurants. Quote
