See above for how they just make up numbers. I think outlawing gas stoves is stupid.
But they just pulled that $30,000 number out of their asses. I just considered updating our range. The very best induction range out there is maybe $12,000. (Before tariffs!). And most apartments and homes would go electric, which is more like $2-5,000.

Remember this is a Democrats national holiday.

But for the rest of us….

Can’t wait to see the Dems massive tax cut plan in light of their newfound love of free markets lol lol.

And all the deregulation too ….

Well, thank God for Trump and his exceedingly simple and predictable tariff regime. Bodes well for that big beautiful tax bill that's coming.

By the way, thanks for sharing that Rumsfeld letter. It's a classic! And it's exactly how I felt when I completed my taxes last week.

Seizing this moment as Trump “increases” the cost of “everything” with his tariffs to take the mantle on cutting taxes for all - Democrats continue to - increase taxes on all Americans regardless what you buy:

$2-$5k to convert a home, rental property or multi-unit apartment building with time, labor,  materials and appliances? Many homes, especially older homes  will require upgrades to the electrical system…which is a $3000 min hit in our area last I checked.  Add to that the cost of whatever fee the govt will tack on, and the cost of electric. I think you’re daft on this number.  I had a breaker changed on my pool equipment by an exceptionally reasonable electrician and it cost $250.  $30k probably makes sense in high cost, city environs but might be high in smaller towns. $10-15k might well be the average.
