I just saw him at the Air Force Monument in DC a week or so ago.  He's as slimy as Alex Jones.  He was propositioning high school kids and their tour guide at a National Memorial for American service members.

He's a scumbag liar.  Something "BIG" is always coming for carpetbaggers...

1 vote for James O'Keefe and Alex Jones can't be trusted. Who else? Let's get it on record

Who. O'Keefe?  Alex Jones?  And you literally witnessed (whomever) "propositioning" kids at a service member memorial?  How did you know it was him?  How close were you?  That's a pretty specific allegation---did you call the cops?

LDD doesn't like being asked to get anything on record.

James O'Keefe.  I was literally there.  I was at the other side of the monument reading the wall with the Medal of Honor winners.  He had the kids on video, they didn't know who he was.  I walked over at the end and wasn't filled in on what was happening until he was in his car.  He identified himself.

This shouldn't surprise anyone.  This is who these people are.

Thanks but I’m still confused.  He was propositioning kids on camera?  What was he proposing?

So you think James is vile and shouldn't be trusted? I'd like all the Lefties to confirm before the news drops that you guys won't believe anything he says despite the evidence.

@leh-nerd skin-erdThe video is edited.  He was proposing that they should be in his video.  Underage kids, being propositioned at a National Monument to be in a video for a click *****.  What's hard to "get"?  I don't think it's appropriate for grown adults to manipulate underage kids on a school trip at a national monument for their own commercial purposes.  Especially a national monument to honor our war dead.  You could sub "trick" or "lure" for "proposition" if you prefer.

I'm not a lefty.  I'm a registered independent.  If you would like to mark me down in some ledger of yours as an extreme skeptic of James O'Keefe and put an asterisk by it denoting him as a filthy "click wh-0re" based on my personal experience then please do so.  Make sure your key is clear and that your asterisk denotes "click wh-0re".  If you're going to document, document correctly please.

I have provided video evidence that he openly lies.

You could also substitute "ask" for "proposition" couldn't ya?

You can sub whatever you want...if you think that's appropriate behavior with kids at a National Monument for service and war dead, and if "ask" makes you feel better then go ahead.

Thanks, I will. I think your original description of the "incident" was a bit misleading, do you work in the mainstream media circles?

My assumption was that everyone here knows what Mr. O'Keefe does so the implication for "proposition" was to be in his video, not something more nefarious.  My apologies for not being clearer.

No, I don't work in the mainstream media.

I think announcing you have information to be used as a deadman's switch defeats the purpose of the information you have being labelled a deadman's switch.

Here's what is returned when the word track you used is input into google:

When someone is "propositioned," it means they have been asked or suggested to engage in a sexual act, often in a direct and sometimes offensive manner. It's a way of saying someone has been asked to have sex by someone who is not in a relationship with them.

The part I wasn't understanding was why you, an outraged citizen, wouldn't have reported that type of behavior to the police.  I asked that question earlier, but you must have missed it.  Now, since you've clarified to include 'commericial purposes', I'd think it's much more benign than what you initially seemed to imply.

I agree that it's a cheesy thing to do, and James O'Keefe is as 'meh' as most undercover journalists tend to be.  The war memorial visit is in very poor taste.   Manipulation is par for the course at O'Keefe, at NYT, WaPo, CNN, Fox, etc.  Still, children are used in commercials for just about every commercial venture ever, and in most political campaigns.  It's kind of hard for me to muster outrage here.

Yeah I missed it because we’re not in court here and anyone can be “propositioned” for anything at any time. I’m sure the first definition in Google is what you suggested and I admitted that. Usually people apply the usage of verbs and adjectives and such to the context of a discussion.

I’m not an “outraged citizen”…I think something that is often missed is a reaction to an “act”, which people then condemn as “something”…in your case I’ve become an “outraged citizen”. I just have an opinion on his behavior that is a little stronger than “cheesy” and “poor taste”.
I’m certainly allowed an opinion different than yours and I don’t care to characterize you in any way.

I’m not sure what your point is other than a semantic difference and your attempt to characterize me when you have no clue about me, my role in the situation, or what the actual outcome was. I certainly proved I was there and that it happened. Don’t you want to know how it turned out and how I happened to be there?
Maybe not…that’s cool…I still think that guy is a walking d-ild0 for what he did and where he did it. Sometimes on this board I can’t for the life of me understand why there can’t be some things to agree upon…propositioning kids at a National monument for clicks would seem to be one of those things…

I started this journey just asking for clarification on your post, given the commonly accepted meaning for a particular phrase.  It wasn’t a gotcha post, but admittedly it seemed an odd story to me.  My instincts were correct.

Thanks for clarifying, and of course you’re entitled to your opinion.  At this point, no, I don’t think I want to know the outcome and have no real feelings on whether you were there or not.  I feel like I understand you now, and surely all that might follow is confusion.
