Can't pitch, can't field, can't hit in another loss to the Jays. Other than those minor details it was another "great" game by the Yankees. Safe to say #28 isn't happening this year.

And yet still have the 4th highest winning percentage in the AL - without Cole. At the risk of sugarcoating the past two series in Toronto (concerning for sure),  every team has their warts, every team has ups and downs over 162. One of my favorite lines in baseball is you're never as good as you look when things are going well or as bad as you look when things are going poorly. 

 

What's more interesting to me right now is what happens before the trade deadline. In the past the haves would use the trade deadline to bolster already very good teams. But with the expanded playoffs where the majority of teams have a reasonable chance to make a run at the playoffs after the deadline I think there's less player movement and/or the prices are higher than in the past.
