He must've taken Economics 101.   Currently waiting for a quote on my shed because the contractor is waiting for the Erie County fair to see if he can buy it for a lower price there.  If not I'll have to bear the cost because of the lumber tariffs on Canada.  First world problems I guess.

I wanted to buy a carport for the yard but the guy who sells them locally said the company can't give him a solid price because of the tariffs. So I'll wait. He added that the workers who install them had all been driven away, though the guys who did my siding were--I think--all immigrants.

No fear, just reading tea leaves with eyes wide open.

Hours after disappointing jobs data reflected cracks in the U.S. economy, President Trump said Friday that he planned to fire the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Erika McEntarfer, and implied on social media that she had manipulated the monthly data for political reasons.

Mr. Trump offered no evidence to support his claim. He and his top aides have made a habit of attacking government agencies, researchers and watchdogs when they have produced findings that the president personally does not like. That has led to concerns that he could seek to interfere with the operations of the bureau and other statistical agencies, particularly if the economy begins to take a turn for the worse.

Not for long.  It will be third world problems soon enough.

Other nations pretty much are compelled to "tolerate" leaders of other nations. The other option is to attack them, so I'd say the ENTIRE WORLD "tolerated Hitler" until they didn't.

But really, you make it sound like you were there, or have some inside info.

Have done reading, studies. What makes trump proclamations less threatening than Putin. What let's you think less about trump wanting expansionism to Canada and Greenland than Putin when he wanted Ukraine. What allows you to approve of Trump calling the leaders of a once best neighbour and friend terrible but not thinking  the same way when Putin does it.

The world sees your country virtually on the same level now as Putin, only less predictable. You don't recognize appeasement like Europe in 1937 happening in 2025. Making phoney investment promises is nothing more than appeasement.

Why are you projecting a *****-erotic fantasy onto me?

I'm not judging...

But respectfully, I'm not interested...

Have a nice day...
