All arguments against the DEI boogeyman begin with the assumption that anyone not a straight white male is automatically unqualified for the job. 
 

Just look at the vitriol directed at the LA fire chief. 22-year veteran of the force, but because she’s a woman she’s definitely not qualified for the job. Sad!

This is not true.

 

It is what you cling to in your own mind to block out any logical arguments or examples of unfair hiring practice.

 

People want a merit system, not a DEI system.

 

Its that simple.

 

But you can hide under your bed from all the 'racists' that are haunting you.

Then what is the problem? Why is the MAGA community attacking the fire chief as a DEI hire when she’s clearly qualified?

Based on how it turned out, how can you say she was qualified? I could've had the same results as fire chief not knowing jack.

Was this guy a DEI hire too? Because he didn’t have much luck either.

I think the fire chief, if qualified, should have her actual fire fighting qualifications and experience highlighted, not her sexual orientation.

 

That's the problem.

 

Nor should she be telling people that hires she makes as chief will also prioritize race, gender,sexual orientation etc. above actual fire fighting qualifications. 

 

This is also the problem.

I don’t speak for the Maga community. I don’t care what the chief does outside of the job. When I see the LA fire department put out a video imagining that people want to be saved by people that look like them, then I have a problem with that sort of idiocy. Hire people that have what it takes to get a very hard job done. No need to prioritize based on feelings don’t you think?

 

Hope you get out of your progressive bubble one day. Being in there 24/7/365 is not good for your brain.
