d0u6 just described liberalism.

And Portnoy is right.  They guard her like every time she has the ball she can make the game winning shot.

I watched almost the whole 2nd half.

The non calls weren’t even the worst part.

Game was on ESPN.  Clark didn’t have a great game with the shooting - but she almost always makes the right pass.  She could have 15 assists a game if layups get made.  She played fine - despite being relentlessly hounded like Sophie was there.

She’s clearly not 100 percent either - and at the end re injures her groin.

The announcers - just imagine watching a Mahomes in year 2 game.  And the announcers spend almost the whole game going out of their way to tell you how bad he’s struggling bc he’s only 10-18 passing for 176 yards at halftime.  He overthrew a few guys that were wide open.

They don’t need to fawn over her.  Or ignore if she’s struggling.  But every miss we were reminded she’s 1-28 from 3 on the road this season.  She’s hurt.  She’s missed 9 games.

You got the impression she stinks.  They seemed to be enjoying it.

That’s how you market your league?  More specifically this unicorn.  It was so embarrassing.

Clark finished 14 points 8 rebounds and 7 assists.  The Fever were a plus 21 with her on the court.  The next closest was plus 11.

I truly believe that the WNBA players would rather keep the league as a money losing organization then find out that the problem all along has been the talent

Good way to fix this.

Prop up the players that are good and are responsible for tripling your TV audience.

Just a thought.

In point of fact: they’re not employees. They’re contractors, in the entertainment business. And it isn’t going well.

What is powerful about asking for money? Why the shade at CC? Why were you surprised that your people made up shirts? The whole thing makes her look stupid and weak.

I wish they'd release the full financials so I'd have a better idea of where my opinion lies.  I will say this.  If they could market Clark, Reese, and I don't know anyone else :) they could have a shot at being a good long term investment.  Even if they are losing money right now they had their best year ever (tv ratings, attendance, merchandise sale) and a lot of businesses take a lot of years to make a profit believing from the start it's a good long term investment.  We'll see what happens if they actually do get substantially higher pay to see what the owners think.  Clark and Reese are young so it's not like they're going away anytime soon.

Clark seems to be the only one drawing attention to the league.

Clark doing sideline comments on the WNBA all-star game was more interesting than the all-stars playing it.
