The anti-IKEA tariff.

College students rejoice, your parents can pay hundreds of dollars more for your desk.

Go to community college first and skip the student loan debt.

Thank you for pointing me to this fine Made in Polwkzu product, which is likely made in the United States of Poland.

That way you'll never need a desk!

It’s a very affordable option for those predisposed to whining about paying hundreds more for a student desk. I would have thought someone that drones on about his spendthrift Thanksgiving feast and the glories of 20 McNuggets feeding three adults (someone gets shorted. Who?) would have been appreciative of the suggestion.

Oh, I am appreciative.

By the way, you guys continue to ignore my food shopping advice. Relatively healthy meal for 4: Costco rotisserie chicken, still $4.99. Cut up into Costco family Caesar salad: about $9.00. Dinner = $3.50 per person.

I have more tips if you'd like them ...

How much is an urgent care visit for 4?

At your age should you really be taking the risk just to save a few bucks? Consider me concerned about you and your +3.

If they went to highschool they probably already have a desk.

Or you're thinking they'll need one at the community college dorm?

And so the federal appeals court reaches the obvious conclusion: Trump's use of a declaration of emergency cannot support his unilateral imposition of tariffs. The setting of tariffs is an enumerated congressional power; nowhere does the constitution grant the president the right to levy duties or other taxes.

Onto the Supreme Court. I say there's a slight probability of them upholding the appeals court, but of course that depends on a couple of judges in the Republican-appointed majority to rule on the language of the constitution and not on obedience to the Executive.

It's amazing that four judges actually ruled the illegal tariffs are ok, thankfully there were seven that followed the constitution. I suspect the clowns Alito and Thomas will back the taxation without representation but hopefully they will be the only ones.

Treasury yields jumped on Tuesday to begin September trading as a court decision knocking down most of the Trump administration’s tariffs raised the prospect of the government having to repay the money already brought in, stretching an already-stressed U.S. fiscal situation.  The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield rose more than 7 basis points to 4.296%. The 30-year bond yield climbed over 6 basis points to 4.986%. The 2-year Treasury yield moved 4 basis points higher to 3.664%.
