Again.. I’m on the fence with the whole tariff thing, but this type of response in China feels like it should be reported on by more than just a few outlets.

Its in all of our best interests for China to be forced to bend the knee, regardless of how you feel about Trump.

I agree in terms of making China pay.  As far as "protests" from workers in China...I'm highly doubtful of that headline.  Remember, if Chinese citizens get unruly they just get "disappeared".

India has sided with the United States (US) President Donald Trump on the trade war with Xi Jinping of China.

Reports indicate that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ready to accept all conditions of the US in a trade deal.

Trump raised tariffs on most Chinese imports to 145%, citing the need to reduce the trade deficit and encourage domestic manufacturing.

In retaliation, China has imposed 125% tariffs on US goods and implemented non-tariff barriers, including export controls on critical rare-earth elements.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Trump in the White House in February 2025.

After the meeting, the leaders announced they would pursue a “framework” for greater cooperation.

“ Prime Minister Modi and I have agreed that we will be in negotiations to address the long-running disparities,” Trump said.

“But really, we want a certain level of playing field, which we really think we’re entitled to.”

India-US Partnership

On the other hand, Modi said India and the US will have a MEGA partnership for prosperity.

He said India is working towards a Viksit Bharat, which in the American context translates into MIGA.

“An excellent meeting with Trump at the White House. Our talks will add significant momentum to the India-USA friendship,” Modi said.

Modi also met with US Vice President JD Vance and his family in New Delhi.

In a statement, Modi said they reviewed the fast-paced progress following my visit to the US and meeting with President Trump.

He explained that the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership will be a defining partnership of the 21st Century for a better future of the world.

“We are committed to mutually beneficial cooperation, including in trade, technology, defence, energy and people-to-people exchanges,” he added.

In George Orwell's 1949 dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, the world is divided into three superstates: Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia, who are all fighting each other in a perpetual war in a disputed area mostly located around the equator. All that Oceania's citizens know about the world is whatever the Party wants them to know, so how the world evolved into the three states is unknown; and it is also unknown to the reader whether they actually exist in the novel's reality, or whether they are a storyline invented by the Party to advance social control.

You were told by the party to cry “CHEAP FAKE” when videos of a befuddled Biden were making the rounds. Ever dutiful!

No, we’re free trade absolutists. I do not give the slightest ***** where my stuff is made so long as it’s cheap and abundant.

I refuse to pay more for worse products just so some loser in Ohio gets to work at the asbestos factory.

Leftists are wild…

No sympathy for unborn babies or Chinese/African slave labor, yet all the sympathy in the world for illegal migrants straining our own welfare systems, hospitals, schools along with increasing violent crime & drug overdose death.

Except none of that is true and accurate.  Abortion: Asked and answered.
slave labor:  Chinese peasants are rioting over less work. Better some pay than none.
Migrants: Have at least rudimentary hearings. Stop the carnival shows.

You sh*t on factory workers and farmers regularly. I guess I don’t think much of anyone that would do such a thing and it’s easy to look down on your profession based on your online persona.

No. You are just a self-important fool and believe your own pursuits are superior to those of others. Simple as, to quote you.

I hate farmers, they’re mostly over subsidized losers going kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Automated greenhouses can do everything they do for cheaper.

Key words in my post are “over subsidized” and “automated.” Completely consistent with my ideology.

Farmers want special treatment.

By the way, it’s still very odd that you save everyone’s posts from months ago. Makes me think you have nothing better to do!

As I’ve tried to help Frankish understand, though it’s been a battle, some posts are so idiotic and ill-thought out that they are easy to remember. I hate farmers is one of those. It takes a true dumbass to type something like that out and choose to hit submit reply. Very easy to remember.

And yet you save it to go back and quote it. Very very weird.

I will be happy to teach you how the search function works. It requires no saving. Just a little bit of mental recall. The remedy, of course, is for people like you and Redhawk not to be such dipsh*ts.

Here is a good description of the impact of the Trump tax on an American company. This is just one example that you can multiply by thousands of impacts on similar businesses. Either the Chinese companies will sell product since they will be able to undercut American business on price or Chinese manufacturers will end up buying out the American brands as they sink in the Trump economy. Then China will own the brand and the manufacturing.

Surely you have better things to do with your time.

I admit, you are very good at deflecting from the actual topic at hand.

The Noble Family Farm idea is still true for many, many farmers. For lots of others, not so much. Corporate owned farms are expanding rapidly. They’re not even called “farmers” anymore; they’re “growers.” And yes, the bundle of subsidies and price supports are with taking a close look at.
Maybe your attempt to educate me wasn’t fully successful. Maybe you were relying on an antiquated view of American farming.
