  1. 1. Should the Bills Fire McDermott?

    • Yep. Too many bad losses and bad coaching in the playoffs

    • Heck No. Playoffs year after year, and we're one of the best teams on NFL

BUT THEY DID IT.  That’s the whole point.  They moved on from a coach who had gotten them to a superbowl and 4 championship games because they felt they hit a wall.

But here we are hitting the same wall EVERY year and we are trying to talk ourselves out of the wall existing

That was a complete rebuild. They had McNabb and TO. Then they didn't You wanna move on from Josh?

Congratulations Sean McDermott on breaking yet another NFL record in a loss. Something similar happened in the Eagles game if I recall correctly. Our head coach finds new and exciting ways to lose games.

It's not McDs fault haven't you heard?

There were inuries and the D made 2 stops, so McD is in the clear

You’re missing an entire era of Vick, McCoy, and Jackson that Andy Reid oversaw.  Chip Kelly did the tear down.  Andy Reid had as Vince Young would call it….a dream team

At some point even the McD lovers (im not a hater) have to own up.   Seriously 0-÷ against the Chiefs in the playoffs?  Seriously?

0-3, 4, 5.  Get rid of the coaches

This is the problem though.

Allen was pretty much perfect all game.

He made one mistake going for the jugular, bad decision and he couldn’t get the throw there.

One mistake from him in an otherwise flawless game and we can’t overcome it.

Coaches can’t help him out.. players don’t pick him up..

Yet Mahomes misses guys open in the end zone twice on the same drive and they fumble the ball out of the end zone …. And win.

It's the methodical ball control mcd offense...it's forces allen and the offense to be absolutely perfect or they end up wasting allot of time and come up empty...this offense approach effectively limits the possessions of its best player to keep the defense closers fresh to never close out a game

The Cover 2 shell came back into vogue because the current top QBs won't punish you for it.  The methodical ball control offense WORKS.  It wrecks the Cover 2 shell.  Slowly, but surely.  It worked all game.  We screwed ourselves on the final drive by gunning for the endzone instead.  If we had kept with that offense, we likely win the game.  Putting up 31 on that Chiefs D would have been an amazing feat, and that ball control offense would have done it.  We watched the Patriots pull it off year after year in that exact fashion, much to our despair.

Exactly it doesn’t let your QB have a killer instinct.  It applies ALL of the pressure onto Allen.  Instead of trying a 9 minute drive to end the game the Bills should have been playing for the lead and if you’ve got a defensive coach you get that lead then get a defensive stop then you let your all world QB place the dagger.  But the whole game ended up condensing itself down to a single drive where any misstep basically ended up in us losing the game.

This is nonsense.  Did Brady not have a killer instinct because he killed you 6-7 yards at a time?

It's how every post season loss plays out with McDermott.....it's insanity

What's nonsense is taking allen and putting him into an offense philosophy catered to a brady, tua, burrow qb ...that's like having a brady, burrow or tua offense and making those players play in a read option rpo offense.....McDermott isn't the right coach for our qb....our offense has been slowed down per our hc wishes

It isn’t just the Chiefs. He can’t beat the Bengals either. He’s the redheaded stepchild to all of the main contenders.

Brady had a hc who understood what system was the best for his skill set....no brady wouldn't have won running a read option offense and allen didn't win running a dink and dunk ball control conservative offense

He’s not going to get fired unless next year is the same result.

he deserves another chance for seeing the mistake Dorsey was and firing him. he and joe finally developed a run game.

he deserves one more year with a slightly different core. After all, the players have to make the plays at the end of the day.

Nah, McDummie has had enough chances and has failed at every one. Enough is enough, no more chances!

He almost did.  Then it was abandoned after the two-minute warning.

If Allen learned how to dink and dunk, and then punish defenses for dropping out of the Cover 2 shell to stop it he's be more or less unstoppable.  He was nearly unstoppable THIS game despite receiver drops, low overall yards/attempt, etc.  31 points on this Chiefs D despite no help in the field position department would have been an absurd feat.

And then KC would’ve scored 3 plays later. You still need a defense to win a championship and we don’t have a quality DC, scheme, or players. It doesn’t matter what style of offense we have.

But when you make a monster truck run a slalom, it's eventually gonna hit a few flags

That's the whole point of getting the TD with < 1 min on the clock and no KC timeouts.  That is MUCH harder to pull off than 13 seconds.

Can't beat Jags or Houston, win in OT or beat a top 4 seed in playoffs, 0-6 so far. Time to kick McDummie to the curb.

I was anti mcdermott but have changed my tune.  He grew a lot as a coach the last 2 months.  We fought our asses off tonight.

Good lord he’s been a head coach for 7 effing years. The majority of an entire DECADE. The “he’s still growing/improving as a coach” excuse has been long expired.
