They don't think they're dumb, they KNOW they're dumb, because they voted their dumb asses in.

They believe Hunter committed crimes, right?  So explain the legislative purpose if they already believe he broke established laws?  Also, because they claim he committed crimes, he is immune.  They will lose the contempt case.  You'd think Mike Davis(redhat) would brush up on some law before he started asking questions:

This right has its limitations. Congress must demonstrate that the testimony of the prospective witness would aid its ability to create laws. If not, then the contempt citation is invalid.

The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution further limits Congress' ability to call for testimony. American citizens have the right under the Fifth Amendment not to testify when doing so would cause them to incriminate themselves. Thus, a person called to testify before Congress can refuse if they believe the government could use the testimony against them in criminal proceedings.

Defcon 1 if Don Jr. did anything remotely close to the stunts Hunter has pulled over the past month.

Of course commie useful idiots are commie useful idiots so the massive hypocrisy is always lost on them.  Please ignore them.

Few years ago the Dems said defying one was a sign of guilty and a felony.

In a typical hypocritical fashion, they switched it up

Hypocrisy?  What about Republicans who defied theirs that's ok?  Let's get them all out in the open for the public.  But Republicans won't they are too chickenshite.

Do you think Hunter should honor the subpoena?

Only Don Jr is dumb enough to send this tweet when the guy said he'd openly answer any questions in a public hearing, while his daddy plead the 5th 450 times in deposition.  I'd have to argue that anyone with a brain would say someone willing to publicly testify has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to worry about.

Trump Jr. says he won’t plead the Fifth but doing so would be ‘100%’ the right legal move

Former special counsel Robert Mueller on Wednesday declined to say whether President Donald Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., invoked the Fifth Amendment when asked to testify in the Russia investigation.

Eric Trump invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 500 times during his 2020 deposition

Donald Jr. and Ivanka reportedly gave their depositions recently, and it’s yet unclear whether they took the Fifth.

Yup, do you think the 8 republicans that the democrats just shamed, and showed their hypocrisy should have?

Of course, he should - and Comer should honor what he said:

James Comer Seems to Forget He Said Hunter Biden Could ‘Choose’ Public Hearing

Bannon and Navarro defied subpoenas and were prosecuted for it.

Hunter has defied a subpoena and in DC will not be prosecuted.

So it goes with commies.

Typical Nazi can't defend the fact that his cult leaders bailed on their subpoena yet Hunter has now shown up twice in person to testify.

They can't square.  F - they can't square ANY of their arguments.

“Donald Trump Jr. came before this body.

“He came before the House Intelligence Committee.

“He came before the House Judiciary Committee.

“He came before the Senate Intelligence Committee twice.

“He came before the so-called Jan 6 committee. “

All behind closed doors.

“Where lawyers can sit down both sides of the aisle and have a conversation, go through documents all under oath, which is the precedent for any committee.

“What is Hunter Biden afraid of?”

That's funny, because I remember when matters deemed important were public hearings.  Ever hear of the McCarthy hearings??  Seems like that might be a "precedent", too.  Now go ahead and tell me how the democrats did it wrong, so the republicans should, too.

Anyways, the contempt case is a born loser.  It's stated clear as day, that if he feels he could be self-incriminated, that he does not have to testify.  The GQP is openly claiming he committed crimes, so it's a no-brainer.  Imagine any jury saying, yes, he should have been forced to incriminate himself when faced with accusations of a crime.  Psht!

Not so fast, there's rules regarding congressional testimony.  They're VERY clearly in Hunter's favor.  The only reason Hunter IS willing to testify, is because he knows these clowns plan is to muddy the waters.  There's only one way to avoid that, and it's public testimony.  That clown Comer is claiming it will create chaos, but in reality, he knows that the educated democrats will mop the floor with them.  Ffs, they have the gavel.

Of course, they can't let go of the preferred narrative (that they have already botched several times now).

These people are not smart.
